Did The Job
Pros: Nice heavy construction. It had no issues at all with the ECS C51GM-M (V1.0) mobo.I even tried it in a Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3,the memory worked great in it as well.
Cons: GREEN,..sorry green fans,..but the color of the memory is about the worst con I have found so far.
Overall Review: I would buy this memory again.Well depends on if the get another color for the heatspreaders,..lol
Fun Why It Lasted
Pros: Price Point is definitely a plus. The fact that it has RGB along with RGB control is a plus. I think its a rather nice looking motherboard. The board has optical audio output. The board also has a nice I/O shield.
Cons: Died two weeks after ownership. The bios crapped out on me. So my biggest con would be the bios. There was a mail in rebate at the time of purchase. So newegg would not exchange the board seeing as the UPC was gone. So basically its a nice paperweight. I also never did receive my rebate either. That's really not a surprise these days.
Overall Review: I have used many Gigabyte product over the years. I will still continue to do such, however I was very disappointed in the life span of this sub-par motherboard. I have since purchased a Gigabyte K5 and a K7 motherboard which I love them both. You know I have thought about mailing my motherboard off to Gigabyte to get the bios fixed but honestly I am not sinking another dime in the Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3. If I have one piece of advice for you future Ryzen owners,.......make sure you get a motherboard with dual bios.
Pros: - I love the spinning flow meter - The rats nest of wiring (im good with it,....more wire the marrier) - I was rather happy with this unit
Cons: - Cons,...I see alot of people are harping about the flo-meter stopping. You have to change the fan setting in the bios to PWM. This is not a con for me but from all the negative reviews it has to be a con for some. - ARGB controller is a freaking trainwreck - This is not an all in one for beginners that is for sure - The AM4 polished silver/chrome bracket stands out like a sore thumb
Overall Review: You know I actually like this unit. There are a few things that make you really wonder. I know a-lot have complained about all the wiring. You know I actually buy a-lot of wire, so any that is included is a plus in my book. The included ARGB hub is a freaking trainwreck. This is definitely not a unit I would recommend for beginners. The flow meter is worth the pains that come with this unit in my opinion.
Surprised & Impressed
Pros: - Build Quality Was Nice - Price Was Nice - Clock Speeds Even Nicer - Easily Clocked @ 3400mhz & Benched - Stability (Clock Speeds Nice & Stable Even When Stressed)
Cons: - Marketing (good product poor marketing) - Good Product (poor inventory selection)
Overall Review: You know I run in to products from time to time that surprise me. This memory was rather impressive to say the least. I wish I had known about his company sooner. The amount of money I spend with Newegg these days are very slim. I hope Neo Forza is picked up by more retailers. I actually have zero complaints..... "Great Product Neo Forza,...." (my only suggestion would be tone down the branding some,....smdh)
Pros: - First off let me say this, I have been in the audio video industry all of my life. I have never seen a flat screen packaged and shipped more perfectly. I personally think large companies like Sony and etc. need to take some pointers from Acer on how to properly package and ship a flat screen. (Extremely Impressive) - Quality and construction is very much noticed and appreciated. - No one seems to be buying these, thats great, leaves more of them for ME,.... - A 3 year warranty is wonderful as well. - VESA Mountable is great too. - Wireless remote is a plus, I am lazy,.... - The colors are not over done, IMO most 4Ks colors are way off and over done. If you are looking for a 4K that GLOWS this is not the unit for you. IMO the colors are actually more accurate then most 4Ks I have seen. - Speakers are always a plus, they actually sound better then I expected. - 4ms response time.....
Cons: - A optical/coaxil digital audio out would have been a plus. - Yes thats it folks,....just one con,....
Overall Review: Ok brief story,...I am a audio video design engineer. I have been in retail for the past few years. So I have been around 4K since day one. I have been wanting a 4K PC monitor bad. I refused to get a small one. IMO a small 4K is completely worthless. I have no desire what so ever to own a 28" - 32" 4K monitor. It just didn't make much sense to me. So needless to say I been waiting for years for my large 4K. I originally choose to go with a Sony KD43X720E based on reviews and etc. I could not deal with the input lag. The input lag was low especially for a TV but not low enough. So I choose to take a gamble on this Acer,..."I am extremely pleased with my choice,...!!!" Updated Review(2/8/2020): About 8 months ago a few stuck pixels appeared. I figured I would just live with it. Then the right hand side edge lighting on the panel went out. So I pay hundred plus bucks to ship it back to the only repair center in the USA which is TX. I actually went out and purchased a TV so I could use the box and packing material to ship this one back. It was perfectly packaged. You could not ask for better packaging in my opinion. So to make a long story short they send my monitor back wrapped in bubble wrap in a box that appeared to have been recycled way past its life span. I personally wouldn't have even used this box to ship a 19" monitor. The box was pathetic along with the bubble wrap. So needless to say guess what,.....Yeah that's correct it arrived in worse shape then I sent it off in. They put a brand new panel in it. The panel was busted along with the upper portion of my monitor. So I had to waste more of my time an money sending it back. They did pay for the return shipping on the busted unit. The sad thing is they sent it back a second time in the same horrible box but a little extra bubble wrap this time. I know when I was on the phone with them they showed very little concern. They should have replaced it after it was destroyed in their possession. I know in my opinion there is absolutely no excuse for service like this. I move ALOT of merchandise and I am not a very happy camper with how Acer handled this entire situation. So three things to take away from this IMO.(1) Their is no excuse in the lack of concern the Acer customer service staff had regarding my mangled product.(2) The packaging that you guys choose to ship a 48.5" monitor is unacceptable period. (3) After Acer obtains the merchandise they are responsible for it. They should have offered to replace it or something to make things correct. I can assure you if I took this monitor apart rite now there will be alot of broken tabs inside and etc. from where they just done a patch job on the crushed shipping damage. Acer did not replace none of the plastic either.
Horrible Software,...Disappointed Customer,...Buyers Beware,...!!!
Pros: - It Sounds Good - It Has RGB (worst RGB software yet) - RGB Strip Included - 10 Band EQ - Packaged Well
Cons: - SOFTWARE is absolutely HORRIBLE. - You would think at the price point you would atleast get a spectrum analizer. A sound card has RGB but no spectrum analizer. Yeah that makes ALOT of sense. - Scout option,....are you kidding Creative? - Oh did I mention that the software is garbage. - BOOT ISSUES as well,....!!! (they can't all be winners)
Overall Review: ~System Specs~ - AMD 1800X @ 3.95 GHz (Processor) - Deepcool Fryzen (Heatsink/Fan) - Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 Wi-fi (Motherboard) - Patriot 32GB DDR4 4133 @ 3600MHz (Memory) - Corsair HX850i (Power Supply) - Samsung 960Evo M.2 500GB (Hard Drive) - Sound Blaster AE-5 (Sound Card) - Asus GTX-760 OC @ 1353MHz (Video Card) - Custom Made (Computer Case) - No Case Fans No Additional Cooling - Acer EB490QK 48.5" 4K (Monitor) - Coboc CL-DP-HBR2-15-WH 15' (Display Port Cable) ~ About the boot issues. My system has always ran like a Cadillac. This sound card causes boot issues. The reviews of this unit says it all. ~ I honestly have extreme buyers remorse. ~ Note To Sound Blaster: It is very clear that you guys devoted more effort towards gaming then sound. The last time I checked I was purchasing a 32 bit sound card. I could CARE less about the video game stuff, you guys have clearly cluttered your software with gaming stuff. I purchase video cards for gaming, not sound cards. You guys need to address many issues with this card immediately. Also a note on your SCOUT software,...just a idea,...get the boot issues fixed along with the software before you guys worry about useless added software. I would also like to express that your RGB software is the WORST I have seen yet. I have played with all the RGB software on the market to date. Hardware is not worth a flip when it has horrible software. It is a well known fact that as a company Sound Blaster is not in the best shape. You guys owned the pc sound industry at one time. If you guys keep on releasing junk like this and needless to say Sound Blaster will just be a memory. So don't listen to your customers, don't address the issues with your products. You guys will see where that gets you. I have been building PCs for 23 years. I have not purchased a Sound Blaster product in 10 years. I highly doubt I will purchase another Sound Blaster product in the future either. I can purchase a $35 motherboard that has much better sound software and zero boot issues.
