Excellent server chassis for the money

Pros: Overall very good quality. The case itself has sturdy steel construction and is heavy even when empty. Drive trays are well made, sturdy and they slide into the bays smoothy. Drive trays have screw holes for 3.5 and 2.5 inch drives which is great. The midplane for the drive bays will take SATA or SAS drives. Backplane is very neat and has sturdy connectors for SFF-8087 mini-SAS and molex power. The fan tray behind the backplane has 3 x 120mm fans, which is really nice for drawing a lot of air through the front drive bays. Rear has 2 locations for 80mm fans but does not include the fans.
Cons: Rails not included. I had to search on their website for rails. I found some but it doesn't say whether they are compatible or not. They have a very similar part number to the Norco Rails: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811997301. I have the Norco rails so I will see if they mount on this case.
Overall Review: My understanding is Norco and Habey share a similar manufacturer, however from experience the Habey 4242C is much better constructed than the Norco RPC-4020. The rack ships with only a small bag of screws for hard drives, no documentation, paperwork... nothing else. I love this case so much that I seriously want to buy another just to replace my current Norco case. This chassis pairs perfectly with the Areca ARC-1882IX-24, which I I'm waiting to arrive along with a Dual Opteron Super Micro for some serious action once I get it in the Colo.
Do Not Buy This!

Pros: It worked out of the box after installing drivers, that's about the only thing.
Cons: Very cheap plastic casing, reminds me of one of those plastic eggs you pop open with a prize inside. Item was received with scuff marks and dust on it, as if someone had previous used it or the manufacturer refurbished it (and did a horrible job). NOT USB 2.0 COMPLIANT, I tried this on three different machines, with two different operating systems and it only performs at USB 1.1. Would not even recognize ethernet connection from the hub i use for my home network, I had to plug it directly into the main ethernet line from the modem for it to even recognize a connection.
Overall Review: No support for linux, but that was never advertised, however it would have been nice. NEWEGG ROCKS, they refunded my money back. Newegg's support is always the best. Thank Newegg, I will always be a loyal customer.
