Works great for FreeNAS
Pros: Nice, tight board, 6 SATA 3 ports, good networking chipset, attention to detail in board, manual, firmware is obvious.
Cons: 2 more memory slots would be welcome.
Overall Review: I put this together with a Lian-Li PC-Q25, and 5 disks in a ZFS3 array with 16GB of memory and FreeNAS, and it "just works". Due to the other reviews, I made certain to use memory and a processor that was supported, but for what I'm using this board for, it seems like an elegant solution. I was impressed with the level of detail that seems to have been paid to this board in it's documentation set and the way the board is laid out and marked. I would buy another ASROCK board based on my experience with this motherboard.
Not really 140mm
Pros: Looks like a nice fan. Lots of hardware included.
Cons: Not the size specified. This "fits" into 120mm hole pattern, while providing the fan size of a 140mm fan.
Overall Review: Would probably be good, if you wanted the airflow of a 140mm fan in a 120mm footprint?
Best Power Supply I've seen
Pros: Incredible detail to workmanship, packaging, included accessory stuff
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I run and electronics manufacturing company that produces specialized comms gear. Bought this for my son for a Christmas present. I'm so impressed, I think I'll be buying Seasonic supplies from now on for everything I build.
Works with BSD Unix.
Pros: Works with BSD Unix. I have this showing up in FreeNAS as a secondary serial port, which I can then use in VirtualBox.
Cons: None so far.
Excellent product. Rebate MIA
Pros: Perfect board for a Minimyth front end. Integrated fan control keeps it quiet and hardware "just works" with most myth distributions.
Cons: Rebate never sent to me. I bought two of these boards, filled out all the paperwork, registered on line, yada, yada. No rebate sent.
