Question 1

The specs say that it has 10 x 6+2 pin power connectors. so is that 10 pcie connectors. The image only shows 7. Is there something i'm not understanding here? I want this power supply for the worst case scenario when Amd releases Vega if powercolor is the only company who will do a dual gpu set up and ends up with some ridiculous 4x 8 pin power connectors like the 390x2. i assume vega will be much more power efficient though so i'll be okay with this 1200 power supply. but just in case i want 8 x 8 pin power connectors.

I own this PSU and I can confirm that it has 8 x 8-pin pcie connectors. The picture shows 7, but there is another one hidden by the blue sticker near the power switch. When you remove the sticker (it has some basic info and is supposed to be removed) you can then see the 8th connector.

Question 2

So this might be a stupid question but i'm not sure how all of this works. So lets say Hypothetically i have a device that uses four of the pci-e ports and said device requires 28amps per port. This power supply has 100Amps on the 12V rail. Does that mean this power supply would not be able to support this device? or is that now how these things work? each pcie port is rated above the 28 amps. But does that mean the 100amps on teh 12v rail isn't enough for the total 112amps of the device?

A simple rule of thumb to remember when working with electricity is that voltage multiplied by amperage equals wattage. What you propose would place high amounts of stress if not burn out the power supply. Four drains at 28 amps is a total of 112 amps, at twelve volts this comes out to 1,344 watts. You are right in assuming that it will not be able to provide your device with sufficient power without exceeding the power supplies rated limits.

The warranty is 7 year? Or 1 year as newegg said?

Info for this product shows only a 1 year limited warranty for parts and labor. Is this a misprint? Other Seasonic PSU's appear to all have 5 year warranty.
