Quality Cables

SYBA SY-CAB40006 1.41 ft. Cable
SYBA SY-CAB40006 1.41 ft. Cable

Pros: Nice cables. Bought because my videocard covers some of my SATA slots and I was installing a third SATA device. L-shape on one end, straight on other. For SATA newbies, it doesn't matter which way you plug them in, compared to an IDE ribbon.

Cons: The straight plugs were slightly bulkier and less flexible than some of the other SATA cables I had. Can potentially be a con if you're tight on space due to poor case/mobo/addon cards.

Overall Review: Roll Tide!

Great Sale Item, Maybe Not Everyday

Vinpower Digital 25 GB 4X BD-R 50 Packs Spindle Disc Model OQBDR04LT-50
Vinpower Digital 25 GB 4X BD-R 50 Packs Spindle Disc Model OQBDR04LT-50

Pros: Cheap (When on sale) Software reads them as 6x capable

Cons: 1 in every ten have been coasters so far - the burn failing at various points in the burn process Logo on front kind of awkward, can make writing on the disc a little bizarre.

Overall Review: Got these dirt cheap during Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. So far, around 1 in 10 have been coasters, each disc failing at a different point in the process. All in all though, if you can get them on sale, it's a -very- good deal.

A Step Backwards In Many Ways

Asus ZenFone 3 Laser, 5.5-Inch, 2GB RAM, 32GB Storage, IPS, LTE, Unlocked Cell Phone, US/Canada Warranty, Glacier Silver (ZC551KL-S430-2G32GN-SL)
Asus ZenFone 3 Laser, 5.5-Inch, 2GB RAM, 32GB Storage, IPS, LTE, Unlocked Cell Phone, US/Canada Warranty, Glacier Silver (ZC551KL-S430-2G32GN-SL)

Pros: + Markedly better performance than it's direct predecessor + Looks Great + Amazing Camera + Fingerprinting works great + Great Screen

Cons: - Fragile compared to the Zenfone 2 Laser - Bloatware, some of it that cannot be disabled - Charges rather slow

Overall Review: My Zenfone 2 Laser failed after a couple of years of solid use so I decided to upgrade to the ZenFone 3 Laser. Out of the box, it looked great and looked like it might be sturdier with the nice metal housing. Let me preface this by saying that I am incredibly gentle on my phones. I've owned nearly a dozen phones and all but the Zenfone 2 Laser are still functioning. In less than two weeks, this phone started to get bend marks and bowing on various parts of the metal. I took my phone out of my pocket one day to find the phone with a rather disturbing BEND in it. I had to bend back into place but there's clear marks on the thinner spots of metal. I've had 2 previous Asus phones, the aforementioned Zenfone 2 Laser and a Padfone X Mini. Both were treated the same as this phone has been in its short lifespan. Neither of my previous Asus phones had any issues with being simply carried in a pocket. Overall? I'm impressed with the technical aspects of the phone. However, It is -incredibly- fragile, unlike its predecessors. Simply carrying my phone in my pocket, the same that I've done with same size (and smaller and bigger) phones, should not result in damaging it.

Solid Fan For the Size and Price

GELID Solutions Silent5 FN-SX05-40 50mm Case Fan
GELID Solutions Silent5 FN-SX05-40 50mm Case Fan

Pros: Whisper quiet, pushes a ton of air for its tiny size. Installs nice and easy.

Cons: No cons to report here.

Overall Review: No added noise adding a grille/finger guard to it. Been going strong for almost 2 years. It's used as a CPU fan for a retro gaming rig. Saw a 2c drop in temps from ancient stock CPU fan on the K6-3 450MHz. I plan on this ancient machine to run me for quite some time still and this fan has been an amazing help for it.

Disappointed.

Rosewill 2 x 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Multimedia Stereo Headset - RH-001
Rosewill 2 x 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Multimedia Stereo Headset - RH-001

Pros: Cheap Decent comfort for long use

Cons: Poor lifespan

Overall Review: Microphone started having issues after 6 weeks of casual use. Basically useless now.

One of the best cases I've ever built

APEX TX-381-C Black Steel Micro ATX Tower Computer Case
APEX TX-381-C Black Steel Micro ATX Tower Computer Case

Pros: Light Sturdy handle Simple design Easy to remove the front cover Double padlock loops could be nice for business machines

Cons: Would've been nice with USB3 top ports instead. Handle is sturdy, but could be nice if it had a metal reinforcement instead. Sides are a tad thin, but you don't have to handle it with kid's gloves.

Overall Review: I'm absolutely thrilled to work with this case. even with a full system - 6core AMD, 7850, 4 sticks of RAM, it's still amazingly light due to the construction of the case. While it doesn't have any dedicated cable management, if you're not maxing out the case, it's easy to makeshift some.
