Great power supply but 'rebate sucks'

CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750 W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750 W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: No complaints about the power supply itself. I use it without any problems with a GTX680 plus R9-280X. It is quiet, stays cool, plenty of connectors.

Cons: My only complaint is the $20 rebate. I filled everything out and sent it in a timely manner just to hear that 'The UPC code you submitted is not valid for this promotion'. Bought 5/13 rebate # 624448469. I probably would have bought it even without the rebate but it does leave ' a bad aftertaste'.

Overall Review: After 4 years the power supply failed and I am very impressed by the warranty service. I just sent it back and was offered an even better replacement: HXi Series™ HX750i High-Performance ATX Power Supply — 750 Watt 80 Plus® PLATINUM Certified PSU

Powerful but noisy

XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD-687A-ZHFC

Pros: This seems to be a powerful OpenGl and particularly good OpenCl card.

Cons: It's very noisy, even when idle. I'm not sure if it's just my card but in the OpenGl Extension viewer the card lists as ATI Radeon Barts XP Prototype - perhaps not a card that should have made it into retail.

Overall Review: Because of the noise issue I'll RMA it even though this will cost me some $35

works well with older x470 board

Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model TLZRD432G3200HC16FDC01

Pros: I use a pair of these (2x16GB) in a previous generation ASRock X470 Master SLI/ac board and they work perfectly at 3200 MHz with XMP settings. Together with the most recent 5900x CPU a major upgrade without the need for a new board :)

Overall Review: Recommended!

works great in Ubuntu but one has to hunt for a Windows 10 driver

NETIS WF2113 300Mbps Wireless N PCI-E Adapter with 5 dBi High Gain Antennas and Low Profile Bracket Compatible with Windows MAC Linux OS
NETIS WF2113 300Mbps Wireless N PCI-E Adapter with 5 dBi High Gain Antennas and Low Profile Bracket Compatible with Windows MAC Linux OS

Pros: cheap and decent performance

Cons: It's a pain to get it to work with Windows 10. Neither the Windows 10 default driver nor the ones on the CD work reliably. Took me a while to find out that that an older driver 2007.3.821.2012 dated 8/21/2012 works. Unfortunately I tried so many that I forgot where I got it.

DOA

ePOWER EP-450CD 450 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Modular Juice Box- Dedicated Graphic Card and CPU power Supply

Pros: Sounded like a good idea.

Cons: Was DOA. Unfortunately I did not unpack/use it within the 30 day return period. Given the modest price it's not worth for me to send it back and forth for manufacturers warranty.
