Most Favorable Review

Great little card for the price.

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card 100292DDR3L
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card 100292DDR3L

Pros: -Cheap -Low power draw -Stays cool, ambient at 30c and the highest I have seen is 65c playing a very unoptimized test build of a video game. Only have 3 fans mounted on my case for reference. 2 back one front and the card is mounted below all of them in a lower air flow area at the back of my case. -Seems to be reliable and there have been no driver issues. -Good performance for the price

Cons: None thus far. Obviously passively cooled but I knew this before hand and it has not been an issue in the slightest.

Overall Review: Runs World of Tanks at 30-115 fps with mixed settings on "standard" graphics, I have not tried it on the updated graphics mode. Averages 40-50 in most situations. Runs EVE online 30 fps with everything maxed and low AA. Plays Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Battlestations: Pacific well with some of the fluff settings turned down. Doesn't break a sweat older games such as Morrowind, Star Wars Battlefront 1/2 and Republic Commando on max settings. Runs Minecraft easily though it tends to hit 100% load with Minecraft and runs at about 55c in my case. Frame rates are steady though with no stuttering. All FPSs are for 1280x720 resolution or near that depending on the application. That aside it does HD video and other graphics heavy applications without a hitch. Obviously this is not a dedicated gaming card but if you are like me and have to game on a budget this card will work wonders, at the very least an improvement over your typical integrated graphics. My system: Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz quad core 8 gigs of 1600 ram This Radeon 5450 350 watt PSU

Great for the price

BYTECC HM-2M 6 ft. Black HDMI Male to Male HDMI High Speed Male to Male Cable Male to Male
BYTECC HM-2M 6 ft. Black HDMI Male to Male HDMI High Speed Male to Male Cable Male to Male

Pros: Does the job and does it well, no complaints. Seems solid enough, I was expecting much cheaper feeling/looking

Cons: Non thus far

Overall Review: I won't pay any more that what this cost for an HDMI cable after buying this one.

OK

NZXT Air Flow Series RF-FZ140-U1 140mm Blue LED Case Fan
NZXT Air Flow Series RF-FZ140-U1 140mm Blue LED Case Fan

Pros: Seems to move air and fits perfectly in the front of my NZXT Phantom case. LEDs are the right brightness and by no means blinding. The fan construction actually seems to be pretty solid physically, just have to wait and see how long the fan itself lasts.

Cons: For the price I feel it could move a tad more air but it does a good job non the less

Overall Review: If your installing this on an NZXT Phantom case, the case came with 4 long screws specifically for installing the front 140mm fan so check your materials that came with your Phantom. Once I figured that out the install was simple.

Good

ENERMAX NAXN ADV. 82+ ETL550AWT 550W ATX12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
ENERMAX NAXN ADV. 82+ ETL550AWT 550W ATX12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Well, my computer starts and everything including the Radeon 7850 appears to be getting the proper amount of power. Cables are sleeved and I had almost exactly what I needed but there are still some for hard drives or whatnot if I ever need to expand, and there is one more pciE connector if I ever want to cross fire.

Cons: Not modular but I knew this going in.

Overall Review: Will update this if anything goes bad but it appears to be running strong and quiet for now. Probably not worth mentioning but the 4+4 pin appears to be one piece but it is really two parts that separate easily and can be put back together, had just never seen that before in the other rigs I have built.

Good for the price

SHARKOON 000SKSK Skiller Keyboard
SHARKOON 000SKSK Skiller Keyboard

Pros: -Price point is ok -Keys feel great -Configuration software works well though you will have to find somethings out just by playing around with it a bit -Media keys work as they should -Rubberized keys and key puller work well -I have not been able to find a key input limit (# of keys pressed at once) despite my best efforts while playing a wide variety of games. -Matches my NZXT Phantom case in color and design Aesthetics (IMO).

Cons: -Manuals are not specific and do not explain how somethings function -(Not a con for me) You cannot assign different values/tasks to the media keys

Overall Review: Some people complained about the single sized backspace, but if you check the photos in the "Overview" tab here on newegg, the Sharkoon website, and the box art on the keyboard box they all show a single sized backspace key. Do your research on what you are buying. I adapted to this in only a few forum posts, not a big deal, only 1/4 an inch farther to the right, it's not hard to adapt to. Also, do not expect miracles from a under $30 keyboard. This one does nicely as it removes the key limits of other cheap keyboards and provides some of the features of more expensive keyboards. If you want a super cool gaming keyboard with an extra set of keys just for games and all these extra features than you had better save up and spend the money on a more expensive keyboard. If you are on a budget and want a good keyboard with some of the features of a gaming keyboard, than this will do nicely.

Really like it

SHARKOON DarkGlider 000SKDGM Black 10 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB 2.0 Wired Laser 6000 dpi Gaming Mouse
SHARKOON DarkGlider 000SKDGM Black 10 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB 2.0 Wired Laser 6000 dpi Gaming Mouse

Pros: -Precise laser with no jitter that I have ever seen in dozens of different games and sensitivities. -The feet on the mouse allow it to glide across the gaming mat, or any surface that I have used thus far for that matter. -Comes with weights of 3.79 and 3.19 (I'm assuming) Grams along with extra Teflon and Ceramic feet in a small metal case (like an Altoids tin) The Case has foam with spots cut in it to the hold the weights and feet so they do not get banged around. The mouse itself holds 4 weights in a holder that slides out of the bottom and is secured by a clip that is flush with the bottom of the mouse. -You can reprogram every single button on the mouse into 5 different profiles -Has internal storage -Configuration software is easy to use -Can change the color, intensity, and pulse frequency (including steady) of the logo on the rear (towards you) of the mouse. -Fits my hand well and the ergonomics are good (for me), the surface has a nice texture to it as well that lets your hand grip slightly and not slip -DPI read out is not too bright or too dim, it's just right so it is easily readable but not intrusive at all. -USB cable is plenty long -You can change the amount by which the DPI changes to each time you push the dpi buttons via the configuration software

Cons: You cannot change the color color of the LED DPI indicator display to match the color of the Skiller keyboard but it is not very bright and you can change the color of the main logo on the rear of the mouse to many different colors so it's not like you have a blazingly bright red LED display amongst an otherwise Black/Blue color schemed set-up. The black color lets finger prints show up pretty easily, but only when your fingers/hand have moisture on them but this dries quickly and if you really feel the need to clean it, it cleans up easily and nicely with a cloth.

Overall Review: I really took a chance on this mouse as I had never owned a Sharkoon product and there being no reviews here on newegg however I am very impressed with the quality of the product with the features included along with that. It shares a lot of similarities with mouses in it's price range but beats out some features such as the weights and extra feet that really allow you to get the mouse to where you want to it be. I just wish it came with a sticker of some sort. If you catch it on sale you can really get a great gaming mouse for a bargain. I did buy this along with the Darkglider Gaming Mat and I would encourage anyone who maybe does not have a mat already to get the Darkglider mouse and Darkglider Gaming Mat together, they work fantastically as a team.
