So far so good

Pros: Very solid construction. It's not a flashy board, which is fine by me. I like the large number of USB ports. I wanted a Gigabyte because I'm familiar with their BIOS arrangement. The Bios is much enhanced over my last one. CPU runs cool out of the box. I like the NVME EZ mounting clips, they're easier than screws.
Cons: The only operational oddity is during bootup. It displays a black screen for a short time before showing the Aourus logo. I think it's training the RAM. Hopefully this will be fixed in future bios upgrades. AMD's new AM5 cpu mounting system caused some difficulty because it incorporates the backing plate into the CPU mounting bracket. You pretty much have to use the AMD backing plate. I have a Thermalright AM4 air cooler that wants you to use its bracket. I ended up with a hybrid mounting system with the Thermalright front plate holding the cooler onto the AMD cpu bracket and backing plate. The Thermalright plate holes line up, but the screws are a different diameter and too short, and the spacers were too long. I was able to drill out the Thermalright plate holes, buy longer screws (6-32 UNC) and fabricate some shorter spacers. I don't think this is feasible for most people. This is not a Gigabyte problem, and should be addressed by the manufacturer of your cooler.
Overall Review: I bought this for my 7700x upgrade. Installation was easy with the exception of adapting my Thermalright Power 140 air cooler to the new AM5 bracket system. I upgraded the bios with no problem. XMP enabled with one click. I like the BIOS feature that lets you store your configuration in the bios, and it survives flashing. It shipped without a driver CD or manual, so you will need to download those. In Windows, the OS prompts you to install drivers direct from Gigabyte. I did, and everything seem to run ok. I mainly run Kubuntu Linux, and it automatically updated everything in the background. There's a great youtube analysis on this board by Buildzoid. He shows how it's way overbuilt, and can easily handle even x7950 OCs. To prove it, he ran an x7950 without the chipset heatsinks, and the board stayed cool. Pretty neat. Many reviews say the 7000 series cpus run very hot, but that's not the case for mine. Most of the time it sits at 40c. Thermals are not much hotter than my old 5600x. Just make sure your existing cooler will fit.
Nice but no thanks

Pros: Small, neat, light.
Cons: I decided against this mainly because the case is so thin. The sliding cover has no support at one end and you can flex it inwards with a light push. I need a case that I can put in my pocket, or drop with confidence. This case is not IMHO strong enough to withstand moderately heavy daily use.
Overall Review: I would only recommend it for people who permanently leave it on their desktop. I toss mine into a drawer with other drives.
Better than I expected. Happy Camper

Pros: Runs much cooler than expected. Performance is great. No real problems with Windows or Linux. Excellent price/performance.
Cons: System boots slower than my 5600x. There's a blank period of about 15 seconds before the boot-up screen displays. I think the system is 'training' the DDR5 RAM. Hopefully this goes away with new bioses.
Overall Review: Yes, I would recommend it for those that need to build a new system. In my case, I needed to replace a very old B350 board and decided to upgrade the processor and RAM too. The reviews say the 7700x runs at 95C. But mine, right out of the box, runs at 35C, about the same as my R5 5600x. I can't get it over 60 C unless I run a CPU stressing program. I updated the bios, and played with the configuration. I'm using a Thermalright Power 140 air cooler which is rated at 300w, but the fan hardly ever spins up. So I don't buy that these processors run hot. It ramps up faster than my R5 5600x system. You can see this ramping effect on a temperature graph. When saving a big file or opening a browser with many tabs, It'll almost immediately spool up to about 50C, then drop. Whereas the 5600x would leisurely amble up to 50C. There is a slight but noticeable speedup on the desktop. Windows open a little quicker. Games are noticeably faster, even with a bottlenecked, mid-range GPU. Everything is just slightly zippier. It's much faster with encryption. For example, saving a large encrypted Word document is almost instantaneous, whereas the 5600x would take a few seconds. My Ryzen 1800x would take much longer with same document. Regarding OSs, I have two SSDs, one with Windows 10 and the other with Kubuntu Linux. After putting the computer together, I plugged in the SSDs to see if the existing OSs would have a problem. Initially I had to hook up an ethernet cable to let the OSs download the new wifi drivers. Windows asked to be re-activated. But after that it was clear sailing. Some people grump about the cost of the x670 AM5 motherboards. I feel that you're going to be able to keep an AM5 motherboard for much longer, so it's worth paying a little extra to get the best. I bought a Gigabyte x670,, mainly because it's their only standard ATX board, their other ones are E-ATX. But I'm sure their B670 boards will come in ATX.
Works in Biostar x370 mini-itx motherboard

Pros: It works flawlessly.
Cons: No cons.
Overall Review: This replaced a Ryzen 2400g, after updating to the latest Biostar bios. The performance increase was substantial. Biostar's latest bios fully supports both the 5600x and the old 2400g. Amazing. Another benefit is that the new bios is much improved over the old x370 bios. Note that you a video card for the 5600x, it doesn't have integrated graphics. Yes, this is a good upgrade. It gave the computer a new lease on life. I would not be surprised if we get another 5 years out of the system.
Truly a great processor

Pros: Very fast video rendering. Graphics are crystal clear at 1440p. No lag playing moderate games such as 2 point hospital, Roller Coaster Tycoon. Runs very cool using a low profile, lightweight Thermalright AXP-100. Super easy install on a Gigabyte X470 Aorus, after a bios upgrade. Great value.
Cons: No cons to report.
Overall Review: This was purchased to replace an old videocard and cpu. It is being used for light gaming and rendering home videos for youtube. My wife is happy. Yes, I would buy it again.
Fantastic 5 star CPU

Pros: Fast. Stable. Works with Linux. Drop-in installation. Delivery was exceptionally fast, only 3 days. In these pandemic times, that surprised me more than anything. I tried to give it 5 stars, but the page would only let me click on one star. It says "Rating Submitted! We’re sorry to hear that. Please let us know what. Thank you." Grrrr. I would have given it 6 stars.
Cons: No cons to report.
Overall Review: I finally decided to cough up the money to buy this 5800x CPU. I hesitated for a long time because I did not want to shell out the bucks, only to have AMD roll out another upgrade. You kind of want to savor having their best CPU... at least for a little while. But it looks like AMD will be making a stand with this iteration for while. I also bought a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC. Both have performed flawlessly. I kept my original DDR4 3200, as a matter of fact, it runs much better wit the new CPU and board than it did when I bought it 4 years ago! XMP actually works now! In normal use it doesn't feel any different than my old 1800x. However, when you put a load on it, it feels distinctly more snappy. I did some light video rendering. It's a classic case of 'put that coffee cup down, the job is already done.' I think this CPU will tide me over until Ryzen 5 comes out in a few years. The 1800x was good for 4 years, this should do the same.
Very good service overall
The seller is good. I had a concern with the product, and was able to return it without any problems.
Very high quality GPU cooler
The Morpheus II arrived on time, well packaged. All the parts were in the box. It's going on a Radeon VII as soon as I get more time.
Very fast delivery
I was hesitant to go with the lowest price, but they turned out to be very speedy. The monitor is exactly as described, and arrived in perfect condition.
