good memory
Pros: I used this memory in my new brother hl- 4040cdn. Recognized the first time I booted after install even though it was not on the compatibility list.
Cons: Kinda pricy for 512mb but when companies are making faster ram at a higher volume, you can expect old memory to go up in price.
Garbage
Pros: Paperweight?
Cons: Was going to set this up in a kiosk as well but same as the guy below me , all i get is vertical lines on all interfaces.
Awesome Adapter
Pros: Awesome card. Works great with Linux Mint 10. Replaced a cra**y broadcom card in my Acer Aspire One D255E, added and extra antenna like the user below me should have to get 300mbps (Router only supports 300mbps). Like the poster before me said, the router is the key to reaching the stated speeds of this card.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: I love how people claim to have a the highest tech level rating just because they can take a PC apart. I cant even claim to have a tech rating of 5 even though i am a Sys Admin for a rather large company. Half the reason people Newegg is because of the reviews on a huge array of products. No one wants to read reviews from people who have basic knowledge or limited knowledge in a certain area. Sorry for the rant, its just a huge pet peeve of mine when reading reviews on Newegg.
D.O.A
Pros: Dead on arrival. Was going to use this for a kiosk i had seup up but all i get is vertical lines on all inputs.
Cons: Suppose to work.
Must Buy
Pros: I currently have 10 of these throughout my network and not a single problem with one of them. Super easy to setup, Scan and print over network works excellent (Take note H*). Not one reason you should not have one in your office.
Cons: I cant replace all my laserjets with the MFC-7840
Overall Review: Buy it!!!!
