Works Great!
Pros: Quieted down my HTPC box tremendously. I can hear only my CPU fan now. It is a very good value over other 120MM fan type power supplies.
Cons: It would have been nice to have some of the molex power lengths longer. I compensated by using some extenders.
Overall Review: I am using this running 24/7 to power my Mythtv box (Knoppmyth). AMD Opteron 165 / ECS KN1 Lite / GF 6200 LE PCI-E / PVR-500MCE/ Air2PC HDTV / 2 X 300 GB HD's
Mythbuntu 14.04.1 ready
Pros: Very easy to set up using a bootable USB drive. Used Pendrive Linux's Universal USB Installer. Installed Mythbuntu 14.04.1 using the default install method.
Cons: Very awkward installing the mini antenna's to the WiFi module. The wires are very tiny and the connection very small.
Overall Review: Make sure you enable the VAAPI library and the related hardware drivers. The Mythtv Wiki page shows how this is done. I also turned off swap as well. See Samiux's Blog for more info on this is done.
Plug and Play in Ubuntu Linux
Pros: Plug and play into a Ubuntu Linux (Mythbuntu) 10.04 install. Used to capture Firewire signal from a Comcast Cisco RNG-110 set top box for recording in Mythtv.
Cons: None
Perfect for Mythtv HDTV
Pros: Works in Linux under Mythbuntu 8.04 and Knoppmyth R5.5. Does both OTA and QAM HD flawlessly.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I have not tried the SD tuner part of this card since I have no need for it. I have four of these cards and have had no issues.
Easy to install drives
Pros: One of the easiest computer installs I have done. Everything fit as it should. Tooless design makes it easy to swap out drives. Sideways hard drive cage makes it easy to get at hard drives.
Cons: Did not include 120 mm fan in front of case.
Overall Review: The 120 mm included fans are very quiet. The blue lighting is not overpowering and is easy on the eyes. My old computer sounds like a frieght train compared to this one.
Larger than I expected
Pros: Very easy to install and clip on. Even included thermal paste already applied to heatsink.
Cons: Had to remove my fan shroud on case since this cooler is taller than stock.
Overall Review: I have not overclocked my computer yet but the CPU temps are 11 C idle to about 25 C load using a AMD X2 3800+.
