Very Nice for the Price!
Pros: Only $xxx for a 22" LCD! Nice picture from top to bottom and side to side. No dead pixels so far. But then again, I have only had the juice applied to this screen for about 20 minutes. Easy set up right out of the box. Stand pops right on. Yea, it doesn't swivel from side to side, but its tilt forward and backward is ample. This is my second LCD and it is just as nice as my 19" Viewsonic. I highly recommend.
Cons: Don't let all the talk about cheap stand, no speakers, and it doesn't swivel from side to side scare you from purchasing this. Sheesh people! Get a life. Now it would be nice if they shipped it with a DVI cable seeing how most hardware utilizes them.
Overall Review: Newegg beats TxxxxDxxxxx hands down on processing. I had it within 3 days of pressing the purchase button and that was standard delivery. The other guy takes 2 days alone to process. Way to go Newegg!!!
Disappointed and Confused
Pros: Great signal and coverage. Signal and connection seems more clean. Nice looking router. GUI is easy to navigate.
Cons: Replaced my Linksys e4200 with this. Got it setup "fairly" easily Friday night. Happy with the purchase. Wake up Saturday morning and no internet, but am able to wirelessly log in to the Asus admin console (browser 192.168.1.1). LAN but no WAN. Reboot...nothing. Reset...nothing. Called Asus support and after 30 minutes or so, tech tells me his recommendation is to take it back and swap it out for another one, go to the Asus AC66 model or get money back. We hang up and I continue to fiddle with it. I perform a factory reset and everything starts to fire again. Fast forward to Monday morning...internet connection is down again, but I can still log in to the admin console. I have now connected my e4200 back up again and am attempting to make sure that it isn't my ISP or my cable modem and will watch to make sure my e4200 doesn't start to magically drop also. I never had problems with my e4200 in the past. I just wanted to upgrade to the latest and greatest.
Overall Review: I have noticed that the DHCP setting in the Asus admin console has a field indicating the Lease Expiration time frame and it has been reading "Expired" and a block below this shows "Renewing", but it never renews. I'm thinking this is related to me losing my internet connection, but why it won't renew after a few milliseconds is unknown to me. I've also noticed that the product box says it is a "RT-AC68U" but in the admin console it shows "RT-AC68R." This is confusing. The Asus support person said this is only a matter of different vendors... ??? If my current e4200 stays connected to the internet for the rest of this week without any issues similar to the Asus router, I will return my Asus router and opt for the new Linksys AC model.
Everything I Hoped For
Pros: The installation was very easy. Takes the same amount of time as if you were plugging in two lamps into a wall socket as an example. Then take one LAN cable and connect it from your wireless router/access point into the first powerline adapter you just plugged in, then run to the other room where you plugged in the other powerline adapter and connect the second LAN cable between your laptop/desktop and the powerline adapter. Make sure your laptop/desktop LAN wired adapter connection is enabled and you will be up and running almost instantaneously. I was skeptical about the powerline adapter's ability to deliver a good clean signal through the home's electrical wiring, but here are the results using speedtest: BEFORE: 6.6 MBPs Down/3.4 Up -- AFTER: 31 MBPs Down/4.2 Up. That is five times faster on the download side.
Overall Review: I'd definitely buy this again and recommend it to my friends. I'll be talking about it at the office.
Pros: Allows you to mount your SSD into a bay in your PC. Works good. Made of high quality materials. Comes with all the necessary hardware. Cheap cost.
Cons: After paying almost $100 for a 64Gb SSD, you would have thought that this $7 mount would have come with the SSD, but NOOOO! Didn't take an egg off for this, but it did contribute to my final decision for the loss of an egg. See other thoughts.
Overall Review: Newegg is the best with products, speed of shipping and post sales support. My beef with this purchase, and this has happened before, is when you pay extra for RUSH ORDER/PROCESSING to get the ball rolling and get your product quicker, they send it out UPS (2 thumbs up), it gets near your location, and then they hand it off to the USPS (2 thumbs down). That is what is wrong with this country. You start out private sector (very efficient) and lateral to a government entity (USPS=very inefficient). I think Moses got to my house before my product did. Two products ordered the same day on different order #s. The UPS got to my house in 2 days. The UPS/USPS took 5 days.
Amazing Power Supply
I had never bought one of these before and I'm actually still waiting on my case before I can complete my build, but if the packaging is any indication of how this product will function there will be absolutely no issues. Very professional. From the way this was packaged I thought they were sending me 200 year old wiskey with a bar of gold. Very pleased!
Fast as Amaz0# Prime Shipping!
I've seen a lot of people complaining about shipping times. Sure it's going to take a little extra time, but think about what part of our country this virus hasn't hit...I'm waiting...These folks delivered my RAM quickly and on time to be honest. Great packaging and notifications! I'll be doing business with you again. Thanks a bunch for being a great business focused on customer service and happiness!
