Great processor
Pros: - This is the best processor for the price - Fast - Very low heat - Awesome for a Plex build
Cons: No graphics processing support - But is fine with me because I use IPMEI remote management features on my motherboard (SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SLL-F-O)
Overall Review: I've been using this in a server I put together at home, running XenServer and anywhere from 2 - 6 VM's, including a Plex and unRAID. It has no problem handling this, and does a great job at transcoding 3 Plex streams at the same time (I didn't try any more). I also wanted something that doesn't generate a lot of heat because my server is located in a room with little ventilation.
DOA
Pros: None
Cons: Dead on Arrival. I put this in my unRaid box to replace a failing drive, and it made a very loud noise that sounded like a circular saw. No kidding. Then nothing. It's not even recognised. I'm very sad.
Overall Review: Refurbished drives are a gamble. I lost this time.
Best SSD hard drive for reliability/price
Pros: - This hard drive has been running in my 24/7 home server for over a year without a problem.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I use this as the cache drive in my unRaid system. It runs VM's, docker containers, and is the initial storage location for all my data before it's moved over nightly to the array. I had a TWO cheaper SSD drive's that failed on me before I ponied up the little extra cost to get this one. No regrets.
Really great phone
Pros: - Great performance - Great connectivity - Amazing battery life with honor's power saving features - Fingerprint sensor works every time, and adds additional shortcuts with single/double click, and swiping - Great screen size; 5.2 inches is a good size - Earphone port on the bottom - IR blaster to control TV and stereo - Beautiful design and quality materials. Feels solid on the hand.
Cons: - VERY slippery and shows fingerprints and smudges easily - I'm not certain of this, but I'm not sure if the honor 8 will be compatible with Google's Daydream VR when Nuget is released. The Kirin 950 chip might not have the required GPU (Please correct me if I'm wrong honor, please....)
Overall Review: I've had this phone for almost 2 months now, and I enjoy it very much. The performance is great, battery life is amazing, and I like the fact EMUI adds it a lot of performance and battery tweaks so you can dial things in just right. I replaced the case that came with it with a clear Nillkin Silicone case to add a little more grip (the case provided was still very slippery). I paid $399 CAD for this device during Christmas sale. Best bargain I had in a long time. I don't feel like I'm missing anything from the other $700+ flagship phones, and I've used a lot of them.
Works
Pros: Works, stable.
Cons: None
Overall Review: This RAM just works. ECC, very stable. I've been using Kingston RAM for years and never had a problem. This particular stick has been in a server running 24/7 for a month now. Not a hiccup the whole time.
