Great memory

Pros: Quality memory for the Haswell CPU. Runs at 1.5V. Fairly low profile even with the heatsink.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Have always used Crucial memory on Asus motherboards and have never experienced any issues or failures. Would not hesitate to buy again or recommend.
Disappointed

Pros: I was impressed with the size of the heatsink and the fan. Looks good and I liked the fact that the bracket is mounted first and the unit is secured with 4 screws. Felt solid on the motherboard.
Cons: Installed it on an Asus P5Q Pro motherboard with E8400 processor and .it did not make contact with the CPU. Nearly fried the CPU before I realized the problem. Removed the heatsink and none of the pre-applied thermal compound had contacted the CPU. Mounting bracket is is thin and prone to cracking if you have to remove it for any reason.
Overall Review: Too inexpensive to return. It was worth a try at the price and no shipping.
Another awesome board from Asus

Pros: Nice layout. Clean looking, quality board. One of very few boards with all the features I need. The PS2 connections for both mouse and keyboard allowed me to continue using my existing KVM switch. Worked just like the 4 previous Asus boards that I installed in my rigs.
Cons: Comes with only 2 SATA cables (as noted in Package Contents). I/O shield is flimsy. The BIOS update instructions (new 0412 BIOS posted on Asus website) provided in user guide did not work for me but I was able to install it.
Overall Review: I am not a gamer and I do not overclock. Arctic Freezer 7 Pro installed without touching the memory but if I had to remove DIMM A1, I would have to remove the fan from the heatsink first. Not a show stopper. Don’t take the QVL as gospel. The WD HDD and the DVR were not listed and work just fine. Would not hesitate to buy it again or recommend it.
