MSI MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 LGA 1700 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 LGA 1700 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: - Allows access to Intel 12th generation without the requirement to use DDR5. I'm sure DDR5 will be great, however, it is 1) more expensive than DDR4 and 2) unavailable for purchase currently. Having access by remaining on DDR4 is a big plus. - While pricer than 11th generation motherboards, the DDR4 variant is more cost effective than the DDR5 variant. Both because the DDR5 motherboards cost more and because the DDR5 RAM costs more. This is a cost effective way to dip your toes into the cutting edge of new technology without emptying your wallet completely. - You can read the features of the board for yourself to determine if it has what you are looking for, but for me, being Z690, I want some room to overclock. The provided VRAM and heat sinks should provide plenty of power delivery for modest level 4 load line overclock and that's all I'm looking to do.

Cons: - Brand new motherboard and therefore has outsized cost compared to "similarly" featured 11th generation boards. This will come down in time but for now price to value is a little skewed, that being said, this is currently the best cost to value you are going to get for a 12th generation with a relatively rich feature set. - At the current price point I'd love to have had a CMOS reset on the I/O panel. - At the current price point I'd love to have had a seven-segment display for debug error codes.

Overall Review: This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. This is an initial review, if any issues arise or if my opinions change after using this motherboard I will update the review to reflect.

GIGABYTE Eagle Radeon RX 6650 XT 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card GV-R665XTEAGLE-8GD
GIGABYTE Eagle Radeon RX 6650 XT 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card GV-R665XTEAGLE-8GD

Overall Review: I know this is not a top eng GPU but it is the refresh of the current genreation. It performs but not anything special whatsoever. Honestly there was not much reason to make this over the plain RX 6600 XT. For reference, I am currently playing D2R in 1080. This should not be too hard. Even when I put all the settings on the lowest AMD's own Adrenalin Software says the card is "Mediocre" at playing D2R. Mediocre on low settings on 1080p. Eh, it is better than the integeated UHD 770 I was running on during the GPU shortage and price gauging but this thing is absolutely nothing special. Probably better off to buy something else.

Excellent

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0

Pros: Excellent case, large, lots of space. Lots of fans, cool blue LED's. Clear side panel to view inside. Mesh siding with mount for additional fan. Easy to install components. Top mounted power button along with USB's is a big plus. Lots of extra screws in case you lose some.

Cons: 2 out of 9 mobo mounts didn't fully screw in, a little loose. Turns into a portable ac unit for your legs. Power supply mount both pro and con: Nice because its on the bottom and the power cord can reach further. Bad because its low to the ground and sucks more dust and hair into the case, especially if you have pets.

Overall Review: Fans running on only speed 2 keep case extremely cool. Very quiet too. Great airflow. Top exhaust fan next to cpu is nice. Bay converter so you can mount hard drives in the 5.25" slots, converts them to 3.5" Case is a little tall in case you only have a little bit of space under your desk. I would Highly reccommend this case to any person building a computer Summary: Very cool, quiet, spacious case, very well designed, great buy especially when on sale for 59.99$.
