Not As Good As Expected
Pros: The availability of Inet access and amount of storage is great. USB 2.0 ports nice but need more data about using them in the literature.
Cons: The slow access speed using a 10/100/1000 is not tolerable! Seagate tech service is getting lousy after being a 20 year Seagate fan, sends bad web links on email. Makes a person go chasing their tail for extended period before getting even an incorrect answer. Get too many incorrect answers to simple questions. Hope that they improve on this right away, expect frustrations if you have to contact them today. A nice fan and USB 3.0 would be most welcome upgrades!! Hope that this helps others as it seems consistent with what others have found, I did not know that it would be so slow in comparison to USB 3.0.
Overall Review: My GoFlex with USB 3.0 gets 9-10 times the throughput as this NAS 110 unit using a 10/100/1000 router. The only downer with GoFlex is no web access, would love this if it had local switchable USB 3.0 access. Must return this unit as the web access is not worth the slow speed. Will get a 3TB GoFlex for less and hot wire my main system to allow remote access to get my data when away from home.
Poor Craftmanship, Cards do NOT Fit
Pros: The Price seemed to be good! Goods that do not begin to work are not good at any price. I wish I could write something good but I will not lie.
Cons: Out of the bex, it would not even allow a regular SD card to even be inserted. I am hoping that I just got a rare bad apple but beware until you see a new note from me stating that this current one is a fluke of accident. You cannot begin to test it if you cannot even get a card inside it. I just hate that I have to pay freight back to Newegg.
Overall Review: This is something really needed but it has to work.
