Pros: It works and doesn't make much noise.
Cons: Didn't mow my lawn.
Overall Review: Used this to replace a completely unnecessary and obnoxiously loud 6000 rpm cpu fan. It was for a refurbished office computer. The user was getting constant complaints about the noise. Now the thing stays on 24/7 without anyone the wiser.
Not Good, Not Bad
Pros: SSD mount on the bottom of the case. This may seem trivial but the four screw holes made a world of difference for the build I put together in this case. Fantastic Front I/O Power button is solid and satisfying to press. Rear 80mm and front 120mm both come with 3 pin connectors to attach to the motherboard. Front intake pulls from the sides of the front face plate.
Cons: ZERO CABLE MANAGEMENT. At least give me a bracket on the front, back to hide some of the clutter of the fan and front panel wires. Front I/O forces you to use the second 5.25". Front panel cables are forced to run from the top over any ROM drive you end up putting in. This makes cable management even worse. Thin material, side panels seem to barely stay in place and are easily bent when taken off. Mini tower dimensions limit the range of heatsinks that are available to you. With only about 152mm of clearance, you won't be fitting anything like a Hyper 212 in it.
Overall Review: I recommend this case to anyone on an extreme budget with low end parts. For just a few dollars more you could probably get something better, especially in a mid tower form factor. There's nothing really wrong with this case, its just especially underwhelming.
Pros: Support for DDR3 2133. A10-6800k ran flawlessly on it. Plenty of room to expand if the need arises. Extra USB 3.0 ports were icing.
Cons: Only two 4pin PWM connections on the board. I had two system fans, and with the CPU fan plugged into one, that left meant I had to run a splitter between the other two. Not a big deal on a board this cheap but something to mention. No heatsinks on the VRM? I didn't bother overclocking the A10-6800k so no idea how the board performance above specs.
Overall Review: I would buy one again if I needed something like it. I really only went for this one because of the USB 3.0 ports, though the PCIe slots are a bonus.
Works as Advertised
Pros: Had no problems getting these to advertised speeds on the GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-HD3. They had a noticeable impact on the performance of the A10-6800k I pair with them.
Cons: I don't like the 1.6V necessary for the higher clock speeds. I wouldn't call it a con, as it is obviously listed in the specs. The fins on the heatspreaders interfered with mounting a Hyper T4 in the system. I can't imagine they make much a difference besides aesthetics. Again, they're clearly not advertised as low profile so I can't fault them for it, I just don't see why they couldn't have been.
Overall Review: They worked and clocked to advertised speeds and timings. I had no issues during stress tests. These are affordable and reliable, as I've come to expect from G.Skill RAM. If I need something similar I will be keeping these in mind.
Better Than Most
Pros: Solid build quality. Nice packaging. Sturdy cables.
Cons: Fan can get noisy when the system ramps up. Cables are a little too rigid, especially the sata ends. Cable sleeving actually slipped off the 8pin CPU connector. It did so because the two 4pin heads dont snap together and are incredibly hard to fit into place. The only real way to do it is to push one in at a time, and this will result in an awkward angle. Probably not a big deal but something of note.
Overall Review: You can't go wrong with EVGA. I've gotten to use a few Corsairs of similar price and quality and I have to say this one is mostly on par. Aside from a few minor gripes, this PSU is rock solid for a low end system. I used it in an A10-6800k build and it was more than enough power.
Can't Go Wrong
Pros: Fast as expected. Windows 8.1 starts in about 8 seconds and programs can be opened about 2 seconds after that.
Cons: The drive doesn't even come with screws. It's bad enough not seeing a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, but not even having screws is in the box is just sad.
Overall Review: There isn't much to say about this thing that hasn't already been said. It is one of the best on the market and proves itself.
