Nice little fan
Pros: This little fan fit my NB well and runs quietly. It dropped my hot-to-the-touch NB to a more managable temp. So far, so good.
Cons: Didn't come with screws. That would have been a plus, but perhaps the general nature of the fan precludes this option.
Overall Review: This is perhaps the lowest $$ fix for a hot North Bridge. I used it on a Gigabyte 965P board and it helped to lower overall system temps.
Now my wife wants one...
Pros: I'm writing this review for the common dude out there that might not be sure about this headset. This unit is nice. Quality build, quality packaging, and it flat out works. I was looking for a stereo headset that could fit several seemingly unreconcilable issues -- the need for lightweight ear protection from the noise of mowing equipment; the need to be able to hear and answer my phones (yes, two), and the need to do something to occupy my mind while chasing grass up and down 60+ acres of campus that I manage. WOW! Does this fit the bill. I've been able to successfully pair it to a Moto VU204 AND a Blackberry 8830 phone at the SAME TIME. I can listen to Pandora internet radio from the Blackberry, and take calls from either phone. While some have complained about the ear buds, they work well for noise reduction. Once firmly in place (and DO try all the sizes!) they are as good as foam ear plugs, and the sound quality on this unit is amazing! A++ and I'd to it again!
Cons: I wish that there were some way to do what this does without the hassle of ear buds, but outside of expensive head gear, nothing else will come close. Otherwise no cons at all!
Overall Review: I agree with most of the other positive reviews on this unit. I read them all and wavered back and forth over this or the Sony earbud unit. I am SO happy I chose this one. My expectations were exceeded and Plantronics has a long-time reputation as a quality listening device. I see why!
LOVE this case
Pros: Rosewill gets a lot of bad press, but you have to check the specs before you buy. I trusted the reviews I read here and they were right on the money -- a GREAT case for the money! Everything fit perfectly -- VERY cool, not silent, but quiet enough to make me happy.
Cons: Can't think of one, except no MB tray removal. That would be nice for fan installs, etc., but a minor thing.
Overall Review: Built in standoffs worked PERFECT for my Gigabyte 965P-DS3 board. Runs COOL -- CPU temp ave. 17-22 C (core 33C -- 42C under load w/TAT) w/Arctic Cooling Pro 7 -- system temps 33-40C. Pro 7 lines up perfectly with rear case fan. LIKE the tool-less design -- that works great, especially the drives. A LOT of nice features -- GOOD solid metal in this case!
Hard to say anything new about this board
Pros: This is a great board. Installed easily in my case, everything fit, lots of room, fired up first time. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it would handle quad core and 1333 FSB. Bios is good. Not one problem to date. I'm running an e6320 w/2 GB RAM, a Promise add on card for EIDE devices, and a couple of SATA devices. Like everything except below.
Cons: No firewire port -- this board has a lot of features and a big bang for the buck -- should have this as well.
Overall Review: Love my system temps, fan controls via bios/Windows. Easy OC via Windows. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Running a very stable/steady 2.0 OC with no voltage increase. Likes A-Data RAM. Everything fit! Automatic bios upgrades. Great set of utility software for those that take time to check out the CD
Got this to match my data port color
Pros: Cable works. Color matches my data port, making it easy to see which drive is hooked to which EIDE port.
Cons: I'd like to see the sleeve over the wire a tad tighter. Also the end caps that cover the wires going to the plugs tend to slip down. No biggie -- they all do that.
Overall Review: I'd do it again. I'm going to replace the other two flat ribbon cables with this same product in colors that match my ports. Like the fact that I can get it a bit longer than standard -- works better in my case, which points the HD sideways to the MB.
I like this RAM
Pros: Works as advertised. I'm running 4 512 sticks for 2 gig. It all shows up, and tests well in my system.
Cons: Perhaps not the fastest latency out there, but the price is right and it works well. Might not be the choice for heavy OC.
Overall Review: This RAM fired right up first time with no problems on a Gigabyte 965P-DS3, rev.3.3 board with an E6320. I love the color, which matches the GB board. It works... and that is what I wanted. Running a mild OC at 2.0 with no stability issues at all.
