Rosewill R5601-BK 0.8mm Japanese Cold Rolled Steel Screw-less Dual 120mm Fans ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Best case I have ever owned (50+ builds). 2 120mm fans (supplied) give low noise and great airflow. Side duct over cpu telescopes to fit any heatsink, or is remaovable and tapped for another fan. Rubber-mount drive rails KILL drive noise. No need to open door; primary cd/dvd drive opens thru drop-down. USB and audio connections on top. Perfect!

Cons: Does not feature a removable motherboard tray.

Overall Review: The best for any money, and I've also owned the $xxx ones. You won't be disappointed. Newer version has full manual with photos, no need to sand door, very complete hardware assortment, etc (see other reviews). Ready to go.

Pros: The first thing I noticed when I extracted it from the shipping box was its beautiful black exterior. The whole thing disassembles easily. It has a fan filter on the front 120mm and on the side duct. The drive rails are smoother than butter, and the VGA quick clip worked great. Seriously, this is THE PERFECT CASE for a budget build; it just shines in every aspect than any case should . . .and it's cheap!

Cons: None. This case is dirt cheap. Anything that is wrong with it (which is nothing) is easily overlooked because of the price. Man, this a great case. Such an easy build!

Overall Review: C2D E6300, Intel DG965WH mobo, A-Data 2x512MB DDR2 800, WD 160GB SATA2, Memorex CD burner, XFX 7600GT, Arctic Cooler 7 Pro. This case is great for any build: very, very, VERY easy to work with.

Pros: I bought this case for the dual 12 cm fans. There is a filter over the front fan. Nice touch. The fans are mounted in there own plastic cage that clips into the case. No screws and low noise. Quality built case with no sharp edges that my hands could find. This is my first screw-less case. Smartadze is right about the drive rail rubber mounts. With the rails attached, the drive slides in the cage with just enough resistance to give you the feel that it is a good fit. Then just clicks right in. Everything went together very easy, (all from Newegg of course!), powered up, and loaded OS first time with no problem. This case has a lot of convenience little features that I would think you'd normally find on a case costing twice as much.

Cons: No MB tray that slides out? I was grasping for straws comparing this case to my Coolermaster Praetorian. The price went up by fifteen buck after I bought it. That is okay for me because I got it cheaper, but the next guy has got to pay more. Supply and demand?

Overall Review: The power wires for the rear fan were too long. I removed the fan from its cage and wrapped the wiers around the fan. Then reinstalled the fan into its' cage pulling the lead wire through one of the existing slots in the fan cage close to the mother board. I cut the slot a little more to prevent the wires from being pinched between the fan frame and cage. Worked out perfect because I didn't have all of the excess wire to tie off somewhere. The optic drive rails mount to the drives' mounting holes with little tabs. This set up also slides nicely into the case. There is a flip-down door that hides the optics drive. You push the external button on the front of the case that pushes the drives' eject button behind the cases' front panel. Of course this opens the optic drive tray which pushes through the flip down door. Pretty ingenious.

Pros: Screwless design; dual 120mm fans; nice front panel connectors. Good internal cable length for the front panel connections, easy to run to almost anywhere on the motherboard. Easy access to the hard drives, and their bay is right behind the front intake fan.

Cons: There is a bay for a floppy drive, to be mounted at the top of the case, just below the front panel. The mount occurs well inside the front bezel, so there is a plastic LED lens and an eject button extender built into the case. But if you don't install a floppy drive, there's a gaping hole at the top of your case, backlit from the power LED on the front panel, and it looks terrible. The screwless design extends all the way to include no screws on PCI/expansion bay slots, and the mechanism doesn't hold them particularly tightly. This means that if you want to mount something that doesn't connect to a motherboard slot (for example an external SATA connector panel), it will feel extremely loose and awkward to use. It's nice that both the 3.5" and 5.25" drive bays use rail mounts to slide in and lock in place, but those rails are also screweless, so they don't actually secure to the drive. Overall Review: The CPU fan duct doesn't quite line up with my CPU, but I guess it works well enough. Pretty nice case for the price.

Pros: Quiet, good airflow, filters, very solidly built, tooless design. There aren't any sharp edges in this thing and it is very solid, although a little heavy. This is the best case I have used in a while.

Cons: The hard drive mountings make a sharp bend on the power/SATA cables with the cover on. The tooless design uses a retaining clip for expansion cards and is not effective for securely holding expansion cards and although it will accept regular screws, the retaining clip won't fit around them without bending it. They put 2 filters for the front and side vents, but left a lower side vent completely open. Doesn't make much sense.

Overall Review: I held off on ordering an additional fan for the side cover because I didn't know what size it takes. So now I know it is a 90mm fan that will attach to the side cover and replace the air duct.

Pros: Lots of comments about the risers + stand-offs being too high. In the documentation, it says that if you have a standard ATX board, you do not need to install the stand-off plugs. The backing plate holes for ATX are already stood-off enough to get the correct lineup. Save the stand-offs for your next project. I had not problem with line-up on my ASUS P5B-Deluxe.

Overall Review: This unit was extremely easy to build. The documentation may be thin but you do not really need it (other than to remind you not to install the stand-off plugs!) :-)

Pros: First build for me - case was easy to understand and setup. Screwless drive bays worked well. Plenty of room and so for all my temps have been very low, with only two case fans and an aftermarket cpu cooler. Don't have a video card yet, and I don't push my system much, though.

Cons: None to think of, but I don't have much experience to compare it to.

Pros: Price to performance is very good. I like the tool less design. Handy to have the USB ports up at the top front panel. Good cooling with two quiet 120mm fans. The telescoping side air duct works great for drawing in outside air for the CPU cooler. The bottom front vent is easily removable to access the filter for cleaning.

Cons: These cons are minor considering how much case you get for the price: This case is used on the kids computer and I find the louvered vents closed quite often. A mesh grate to cover the filter instead of the louvers would be nice. That way the air doesn't get restricted due to inadvertently closing the louvers. The side panel is a bit finicky to put on the case. Have to line it up just right the get the RF fingers to engage AND get the lock hasp to line up with slot on the back edge of the panel. Then you slide the pane forward about 1/2 an inch.

Overall Review: This is what prompted me to write again: I have a older 3.4 G single core P4 CPU with a stock cooler OC'd to 3.57G. Every now and then I would find the computer turned off. I always leave my PC's up and running. The CPU had over temped on me and shut the computer down. No damage to the system. This was my own fault. I hadn't cleaned the filters in over four months. Got the filters clean and been keeping up with them for the past two months and no shut downs. Point is, if you are using this case for air cooling a hot running overclocked CPU (not that my P4 is seriously overclocked), ensure you keep the filters clean. Or it will get hot inside the case.
