So Tight!

SanDisk Extreme 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model SDCZ80-032G-A75
SanDisk Extreme 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model SDCZ80-032G-A75

Pros: 11 out of 10. 180/110MB read/write with ATTO Disk Benchmark. SanDisk states up to 190MB/s read and 110MB/s write and my scores are right in line with that! I installed a Windows 7 .iso to the drive to boot from and I'm about to test an install to an SSD. I am about to be amazed. Also, I booted a live Linux .iso in 45ish seconds, as if it were installed on a HDD. The work it performs in USB 2.0 slots is great too! Caps everything at 35/35MB read/write. The USB lever switch is solid feeling and feels "the 4-letter word for risque" when I use it. I. Love. This. Drive.

Cons: Why it didn't come with a lanyard is beyond me. Really, just throw one in haha. I have a lanyard for it though. The drive is too awesome to drop an Egg. It deserves every Egg. Sandisk did very well.

Overall Review: I don't use the 2GB of Cloud storage that comes with the purchase of the drive. Seriously SanDisk should just include a lanyard instead if you ask me. :) Also I have not used the encryption feature and probably won't. But seems like a good feature nevertheless. Shipping from Newegg this time took a while but I patiently waited for this gem. Please don't hesitate, just buy the drive! The formatted capacity is 29.7GB.

Seagate Desktop HDD ST3000DM001 3TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Desktop HDD ST3000DM001 3TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Obviously large space. Quick. Quiet.

Cons: After a month, click-click-click drive failed in Windows Disk Management. -- Came alive again! -- Another few weeks, click-click-click, drive was failing, then came alive again. Passed all SeaTools long tests.

Overall Review: Buy 2. Have a backup.

Good for 16 months

MSI Z170A GAMING M3 LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI Z170A GAMING M3 LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Overall I actually really like the motherboard. The red is cool and it had all the features I needed. I ran it almost 24/7, played games on the 980Ti that I bought. The M.2 drive I bought was good, but for the price I just kept my RAID-0 SSDs. I have a secondary 1TB SSD for games installs, and I have 2x 3TB HDDs for storage. All worked great. The BIOS was clean enough, I could overclock my 6700K easy on air but no need. Then one day my PC was just dead. Swapped the PSU and nothing. PSU works fine in the PC I'm typing on. MOBO is shot.

Cons: Only a 12 month warranty.

Overall Review: I've had MSI motherboards in the past with no issue. Something just happened but now I'm looking at brands with 3 year warranties on their boards.

Thin and fast

Rosewill RCDV-11011 - 1.6-Foot (50 cm) SATA III Cable with Locking Latch
Rosewill RCDV-11011 - 1.6-Foot (50 cm) SATA III Cable with Locking Latch

Pros: These cables are great! Super thin, flexible, airflow is good and they are sturdy. I was thrilled when I got the package and saw how thin SATA cables have gotten. However, then I realized other cable models are still the stiff regular SATA cables.

Cons: No complaints here, 5-star product. I bought 4.

Overall Review: I am confident in my purchase of the Rosewill SATA III cables, you should be too!

Beauty

ASUS VS Series VS247H-P 24" (Actual size 23.6") Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz HDMI VGA DVI-D SPLENDID Modes Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor
ASUS VS Series VS247H-P 24" (Actual size 23.6") Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz HDMI VGA DVI-D SPLENDID Modes Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor

Pros: 1080p - HDMI/DVI/VGA inputs Vibrant colors - "Splendid" settings make it easy to adjust on the fly Easy to assemble Includes DVI and VGA cables VERY INEXPENSIVE with discounts and rebates. Well worth it so far.

Cons: I have a cheap desk and the screen wobbles with it's weak stand. The screen is far too large for the small stand. But alas: low-profile. I wish the screen bezel and stand was NOT glossy. It gets finger prints and I can see weird light when I use the screen because I want the LCD picture to just "end" but instead I see myself and other reflections. If that makes sense. Also I get a screen flicker to black and then the picture comes back. I haven't determined if this is a screen fault/cable fault/graphics card fault. But it didn't/doesn't happen with my other LCD monitor I have in dual-monitor setup.

Overall Review: I may not even send in my rebate it is that much of a hassle and the screen is well worth it. Time will tell. This thing is a beauty.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: 931GB after formatting.
