Most Favorable Review

Was scared but ended up liking it!

Acer K242HL Dbid 24" Black 1ms Response Time LED Monitor 1920 x 1080 Widescreen 16:9 250 cd/m2 1000:1 VGA, DVI, HDMI
Acer K242HL Dbid 24" Black 1ms Response Time LED Monitor 1920 x 1080 Widescreen 16:9 250 cd/m2 1000:1 VGA, DVI, HDMI

Pros: - Brightness and Contrast both way better than expected - Their EasyEyes technology or whatever its called actually works! - Its not awful for gaming

Cons: - Nothing that wasnt expected

Overall Review: I was super hesitant buying a monitor that had Tn not IPS panel, and was 60 not 75hz. But the 1ms response, and the fact it was on sale and barely in my budget forced my hand - everything else at same price was a garbage business monitor for Excel and such. Boy was I surprised. The brightness looks WAY better than a lot of monitors, seems much higher than the stated 250 cd/m2. Same with Contrast, It seems way better than 1000:1. I dont know what this Acer "ComfyView" is but it WORKS. And they did not lie about 1ms response. while this isnt a true gaming monitor bc of the low refresh rate, its close! Darn close for the price! I am using it on a machine i built just for my flight sims and its great so far! a few screen tears randomly but nothing too bad. It looks fantastic, its response time is great like a gaming monitor, it just has a few patches where it cant quite keep up during intense gaming so you get *minor* screen tearing during intense action. I got it 27% off so it was a no-brainer. Its either this as a *steal* for the price and you live w 60hz, or you drop 250 on a true gaming monitor, that frankly may not look as good! Gaming: Decent Standard Monitor Desktop Stuff: One of the best monitors I have owned, cant believe it is TN not IPS, its so gorgeous.

so soft but built like a rock

Incredible

Wenger Swiss Gear IBEX 17" GA-7316-06F00 Laptop Computer Backpack
Wenger Swiss Gear IBEX 17" GA-7316-06F00 Laptop Computer Backpack

Pros: A place for everything, and everything in its place. The pictures don't do it justice. I seriously had to spend half a day just re-arranging my stuff for school, there were so many options. In addition to the items mentioned in the description - quick access pocket, water bottle pocket, 3 dividers, cooled air flow system, shock absorbers, sturdy base plate - they really leave off a ton of features that this baby has. Firstly, the 'main' pouch for computers has a velcro enclosure to keep the laptop in place- it also has a divider, which was perfect for me since I have a second smaller laptop and it fits! Add a zippered pouch for the power supplies. Thats just the first pouch. quick access pouch on top is HUGE and feels like silk. I keep an extra pen and my voice recorder in it since that's my most used and also most delicate item. There are 2 side pockets I never saw mentioned. I keep earbuds in one and my phone charger in the other. Then there are three front pouches of decreasing size. i wont list off all the options, but suffice it to say that opening each just adds to a world of options. Mesh pouches with zippers, dividers, sub pockets, some with velcro flaps, pen holders, and stuff i dont even have a name for. I was expecting the sweet main pocket for the computers, but i was just amazed when i unzipped the 4 general pockets and saw how many bells and whistles are inside. Like i said, I spent half a day just figuring out where to put what and changing my mind. The quality is top shelf too - this is the best and only backpack youll ever need. I have mine loaded up with stuff I never thought Id have room for - TWO water bottles, snacks, earplugs in classes where earbuds not allowed, granola bar on one of the straps for quick access without even setting it down, etc.

Cons: Hardly a con, but i have so many options that a couple times I've forgotten where i put something haha! Still getting used to it.

Overall Review: I wish they had it in a dark green but the Blue was far more appealing than i expected

Excellent low-end laptop with excellent gaming ability

Pros: I wanted a cheap laptop, but one with a 3D gfx card that I could at least play my games on - Borderlands 2, Guild Wars 2, and EVE mainly. I wanted to go as cheap as possible. Well most gaming rigs have massive CPUs and memory and were 800-1200 dollars - WAY out of my price range. Then i found this guy - decent CPU, tolerable memory, and a graphics card that was new but getting very good reviews. When it was marked down $100, i took a chance on it, and boy am I happy that I did. The CPU and memory, while not exciting on paper, and running smooth as silk. This machine boots faster and is more responsive than my desktop, so it is not weak by any means. So then I launched my games, expecting to have to use low or medium settings instead of the Very High settings i am used to with dual HD 5800s on my main. Nope!! I am running all those games in High or Very High detail and they run at max frame rate (I cap at 60 FPS to save cpu). I couldnt believe it! This graphics card is a beast! The system itself I give an A+ as well - the brushed aluminum case is just plain sexy, battery life excellent (especially with Windows 8 which I learned has vastly better power saving than win7 did for laptops), and my one concern (15.6" LCDs that are 1366 x 768 instead of 1920 x 1080 are often fuzzy) was totally false - this guy is crisp and bright and sharp! Add in the fact that 1 of its 3 USB ports can charge my phone when the computer is OFF and we have a 5/5 on our hands

Cons: I expected the slow 5400rpm hard drive to be an issue but its been very fast so far.
