Solid Extension Cable
Pros: - 25 feet at $6.49 - headphone plug doesn't slip out - 25 feet goes pretty far
Cons: - no actual box that this came with, came wrapped in plastic with no bag even
Overall Review: Solid buy, there may be some background noise but I'm not 100% sure it is the cable's fault. Headphones don't slip out of the female end like some people report on the other extension cables. Good value even it is the cable's fault. Recommend this one.
Great until it fails
Pros: -Nice ergo -8 buttons -1600 max DPI adjustable on the fly -Software included to program mouse -Logitech brand name of quality
Cons: -Only 5 of the buttons can be programmed for games -Mine failed after about 6 months -Overpriced
Overall Review: Was using this mouse normally for about 6 months. Didn't abuse it in any way. The mouse all of the sudden would randomly disconnect from my USB ports for several seconds. This would happen over and over. Mouse wheel also stopped working and no longer scrolled. It died when I plugged in and started using USB headphones and wouldn't come back. With the Logitech name, this shouldn't be happening. I have several products from them and they are great. This one was great for 6 months until it stopped working. Hesitant to buy another mouse from Logitech. Definitely will research if other Logitech mouses die like this one did. I have read other's MX 518 dying on them as well.
Awesome online game
Pros: -You will play the MP part long after you beat the SP part -Product key can be used to play ANY and ALL Games For Windows game online with achievements(which is why I bought this) -100% compatibility with Xbox 360 controller including online with auto aim
Cons: -Free DHL shipping had no tracking info whatsoever on this package and came in an unpadded envelope. The box sleeve is all bent at the corners as a result. -Game is horribly optimized for Windows. Xbox 360 ports like Batman: Arkham Asylum run much better for me.
Overall Review: VERY satisfied with this game as it is one of the best online games I have ever played. The 1 egg deduction is for the poor shipping. I don't like Newegg's use of paper as shock absorbing material either. I much preferred the old styrofoam peanuts. They need to wad the paper into little balls so it acts more like the old peanuts when shock absorbing.
Awesome cheap PSU
Pros: -Can't beat this PSU for the price. -Hasn't failed yet on me. -Survived several power spikes and outages not to mention my own turning off and on in quick succession.
Cons: -May not fit in some mATX cases
Overall Review: Bought this for my P4 system and I now use it on my Phenom II X2 rig I built. Seems to be working well despite low power readings from software like SpeedFan and CPUID Hardware Monitor. People say those readings are worthless and others get low readings as well, so I'm not worried about it. Has lasted this long and hopefully will for years to come. Any PSU can fail on you, so buying this PSU is not much more riskier than getting a name brand one, I would estimate. Gives me all the power I need for my single video card rig, so if you are planning a similar rig, this should meet your needs. Solid IDE DVD Burner
Pros: - works as described - no coasters yet - free Nero 7
Cons: - no LightScribe
Overall Review: Solid DVD Burner. I haven't done much with it except burn my HP Recovery DVDs, but it seems like a stable DVD drive. Had trouble initially with the installation but that was due to too many DVD burning and ripping programs similar to the Nero 7 that came with this. If your PC is slow to recognize the drive and anything in it, then you need to uninstall some DVD burning programs. No LightScribe included but that isn't really necessary IMO. Good drive with good speeds that I hope will not fail on me in the future.
Fan works
Pros: - fan works as described - good value at the price
Cons: - hasn't lowered my CPU temp even 1 degree - may have lowered my case temp but I don't see strong evidence for that
Overall Review: I would have like to given this 5 eggs, but it didn't lower my CPU temp even one degree Celsius. Seems like a good product though. I thought it was because I didn't have an I/O shield when I installed this and the hot air might be recirculating back in, but I installed the I/O shield last night finally and there is no difference at all. This fan may work for you but it didn't for me. Also, Newegg's eco friendly shipping stinks and they need to go back to styrofoam peanuts or at least roll the paper sheet into little balls like the peanuts were before people's orders really start arriving DOA in higher frequency. :(
