Beautiful Beast
Pros: Alright this thing is amazing. If you looking for a micro atx board and have the money for this just get it. I brought over my older hardware from my last build which is to old but was recognized by the board and loaded up no problem. Overclocking features .... wow ... so many and easy to understand then there's the advanced section * I suggest to just leave it be. I was able to overclock my cpu to 4.5 just by the multiplier. I have so much headroom left. The mini pci-e port is perfect if you plan to make a wireless build, which I did. I had a issue with one screw which wouldn't budge. DO NOT PUT PRESSURE ON IT. I easily turned it and it unscrewed itself. Any issues you heard for this board were probably minor and easily fixable. It's ROG it's beautiful color scheme in my corsair 350D.
Cons: - the lan (wired) can cut off randomly, it's mainly due to the driver but returns automatically and for me was no problem since it happens once a day. Which is very strange -Doesn't come with antennas or for the matter wireless extras but it can simply be bought. Besides that it's still 5 eggs.
Overall Review: Depending on your case make sure your wires are ready to put the board in easily without damaging it. This is a beautiful board, I was skeptical almost going to gigabytes sniper but I needed that mini pci-e. WORTH IT! YOU WANT CROSSFIRE OR SLI. Do it man. I have 2 sapphire amd HD 7850's and max temp (40 cel 2 mointor setup) is the same from my last and still the same playing Skyrim with 50 mods(65 max). I don't understand why some don't suggest it, suck at airflow planning much? Of course I plan for a single beefy card but later on in the future though. Build specs: Corsair 350D SSD samsung 840 EVO 120gb Western Digital 1tb black Kraken x60 280mm 700 watt Nzxt v2 Maximus VI GENE LGA 1150 2x Sapphire HD7850 OC 1 gb
So yea it made my asus gene catch on fire .....
Pros: It's got everything to cool down your cpu. Even an i7 4770k at 4.6 with an average of 28C max load 76C which is ok. But it should be lower on load.
Cons: Besides buggy software that doesn't detect the usb sometimes? ------------------------------------------- I ain't going to lie, I love Nzxt and their products. I will continue using them. But this time just going with a x40 this rather then this, which is overkill really. I had this in my system for more then 5 months before everything went to hell. About 5 months later turning on my system, no changes just turning it on, my motherboad caught on fire and fried the 3 pin cpu cable to the board. I was lucky to have my i7 safe but having to order another motherboard (asus gene z87) and finding out also my kraken x60 was fried as well.
Overall Review: It was a case of bad luck and what else can I do? I called them but again I guess bad luck struck and I still cannout get a hold of anyone. Might try online rather then phone. So to tell what happen: -All connections in place -Turned on system -Motherboard burst into flames spewing the magic smoke -While taking everything out cpu connection for x60 melted to board -Baw at my destroyed machines because I need it for animation and gaming. -Cpu intact now replacing cpu cord as well. Also I was using Nzxt's 700 watt V2 psu, so yea ..... why you do this to me Nzxt. :c
First Time Owning A Noctua ....
Pros: Will probably buy x2 120's now(maybe). I bought this hoping to dampen the impending hurricane of a fan that came with the min-itx evga heat sink for you guessed it, my evga Hadron air. Now main thing I noticed FIRST DAY, - No sound, thought my computer died during the installation, Nope, the fan is just too quiet. To quiet the 120 corsair AF fans make more sound. EVEN so still quiet so I'm happy. -The fans are crazy sturdy. -The amount of air these things output being such small fans is still blowing my mind. -Heat was not and issue still the same with the stock fan but they do perform better at higher loads, as well being dead silent. WHAT? I give these fans 11.5/10 Though this is my first Noctua fan, it's not my first fan. Going from said quiet cooler master to corsair, this little 92 mm fan performs at the top in sound and airflow. Heck, it even cools down the gpu, for some ... reason ... I can not explain those kind of dynamics. In all this one little piece missing from my build changed a lot. I'm a happy customer nothing else to say.
Cons: - The only Con really depends on the build, because my case is extremely small form factor. The 4 pin sleeve does not allow a lot much curling or bending. It's not stiff or unbearable to use just not a laced sleeve, feels like a rubber sleeve. Strange but it's a minor annoyance that can be fixed with cable tie.
Overall Review: - I really was surprised honestly on the advertising and recommendations from YouTube tech reviews and online reviews. It's rare for my case to choose a product that works 110% as advertise. Going to update later but main point is the fan works and is silent. No more revving hurricane sounds.
What did I learn ....
Pros: ....that this ssd is the best in the market. - No problems with cloning only took 15 min from a 120gb Samsung Evo - It's fast as hell. Though it's small it's noticeable I have 5 second boot times from my last ssd which had 10 second and I wasn't even expecting that, it just happened. - 256gb is a reason I also got it for the extra space to put in Maya, and Photoshop. Thank you Samsung for an amazing ssd.
Cons: I am not going to put down any stars because the Pro is just to amazing I can't be a selfish jerk and bring it down because of my delivery experience. But I'll rant. I PAID EXTRA for delivery and who did I get as a carrier? ONTRAC, freakin ONTRAC, I wait on the exact date it was supposed to come. Nope, ok maybe it was delayed it happens. Next day, Nope .... 5 days later form the original date it was supposed to come. It arrives within a small plain envelope with no Far Cry 4 code of course. UPS made it even before the assigned date and nothing damaged , I have had two experiences with ONTRAC and it was a horrible waste of time. Next time If I can I'll cancel my order if I see ontrac delivering my stuff, no way am I letting them handle anything anymore.
Overall Review: I love this ssd overall I just can't get over the fact I have top performance. It just put's you at a stand still if your addicted to upgrading your computer annually. It's just that fast.
Pretty insane card.
Pros: I guess it's just from the tweaks but I love this card even at default. I wanted to see how far I can bring up the clocks without it going 10c higher but at least enough to see results. I was actually surprised. I got the card to 1200 core clock and 1600 memory clock. Voltage wouldn't let me keep it at +5 or less and stuck at +6. Thank you msi afterburner. It runs, that's all I'm going to be able to describe it. It just runs. Upgrading from a 7850 1gb and yea, there is a huge difference. Loaded up Tomb raider,Bioshock with dlc, Dead Space, Battlefield, and Goat simulator for fun and it just runs +60 fps with/without v-sync as well. Beautiful construction and A FREAKIN BACKPLATE, whatttt? 6gb push this card to construct and render anything in Maya or 3d max without small hiccups. Of course that was expected and I wasn't let down. What else .... it runs 2 monitors at at 35c idle? Fine temps for me.
Cons: Only con would have to be .... the software I guess (afterburner)? Can't be a big negative but to unlock the voltage for the card you need msi afterburner 3.0.0 beat 19 and it doesn't update from the version the disk is in. You need to go to the MSI Afterburner site and download it from there. Or else you'll get a 404 error updating from the software in the disk. Das about it.
Overall Review: Specs: -Corsair 350D -asus gene z87 -i7 4770k -16 gb g.skill sniper -280X 6gb MSI Gaming -700 watt NZXT V2 -2 corsair 140AF 2 corsair 140AF Red LED 1 corsair 120AF -CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus - 120gb Samsung EVO -1tb WD Black -A lot of time looking at my case in awe.
It works, but....
Pros: Alright here it is, I love who ever came up with the idea to make this. It's perfect for fitting my hard rive, 3.5 (1) and ssd, 2.5 (1 or 2) in an all in one. Simple yet surprisingly elegant in design. Now I'm getting to fancy. It's awesome that's about it.
Cons: 2 things that would count as a con would be head output for a hard rive. Ssd no problem, but a large 3.5 hard rive and you can have a bit of heat. Then there's the middle plastic piece separating the 3.5 drive bay tot he 2, 2.5 bays. It's awkward with putting power cables for the 2.5 drive bays so if you have a Cd player forget putting it on top it'll just heat up your system or catch a wire on fire. That's just saying what the worst can happen it's really simple either way.
Overall Review: If you want room in your case like a 350D and improve some airflow this will help. Just make sure your fans "have a very good airflow" then the investment into this is worth it every penny.
