Windows Server Standard 2008 5 User CAL License (no media, License only)
Windows Server Standard 2008 5 User CAL License (no media, License only)

Pros: It's a small number of client licenses, if you don't need to purchase a bulk amount.

Cons: The title may be misleading make sure you understand that this IS NOT a Windows Server 2008 product key, it's strickly 5 Client Licenses. (allows 5 more windows users to connect to your Active Directory Infrastructure).

Gets the Job Done

NORCO RPC-250 Black 2U Rackmount Server Chassis
NORCO RPC-250 Black 2U Rackmount Server Chassis

Pros: * Relatively Cheap * Quiet * Good Air Flow * Light Weight * Sturdy, once everything is installed

Cons: * Sharp Edges * Minimal Quality Control

Overall Review: Overall, this is a decent case. I got two and one of them had a faulty power cord. This is my third encounter with Norcotek, and this is the third time I've had to work around a quality issue. I don't even see any contact info on the web site. The one that isn't faulty works extremely well. The other one...not so much. Still, it is a 2U case for dirt cheap.

Deception and Failure

Seagate STBD2000102 2TB 5400 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Retail Packaging
Seagate STBD2000102 2TB 5400 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Retail Packaging

Pros: 2TB in a 9.5mm 2.5" format via SATA 6Gb/s

Cons: * Deceptive marketing (originally marketed as a 7200 RPM drive)...it gets worse, stay tuned. * First of Four drives failed after two weeks.

Overall Review: Once I discovered the drives are really 5400 RPM drives I was irritated but not for long. After all, show me an alternative for a 2TB 7200RPM 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s drive with a 9.5mm height. As of the time of writing, there are none. There was another discovery made shortly after that made me highly irritable. I get on newegg.com to buy a few more as part of my backup strategy, in spite of my single failure because that happens once in a while with mechanical drives. I'm using a StarTech SAT2510U3S enclosure with the SAT2510U3REM bay in a Bytecc 5.25" external enclosure. Startech has another model of enclosure and bay but I didn't care for it and was happy with the previous one. I'm using it to backup my laptop (HP EliteBook 850 G2) using Attic backup from Git on Fedora 21 (because I'm that kind of nerd). So imagine my surprise after finding this drive is 5400 instead of 7200 RPM. So I started looking at the other options. Imagine my further surprise and angst when I discovered the model number actually printed on the Seagate drives, and even the shape of the sticker is EXACTLY the same as SAMSUNG spinpoint drives which about $35 dollars less. I was effectively tricked into buying a more expensive replica of a common drive. I feel a class action lawsuit coming on. And to top it all off, the first of these drives I received failed in two weeks. You can hear the head dragging on the platter. Dreadful sound. For that reason, I'm steering clear of Seagate and Samsung, which leaves me with one regrettable option: Western Digital (with whom I've had a tremendous amount of bad luck). If I didn't really need the capacity, I'd use a Samsung Pro SSD as they've been reliable and plenty fast.

Meh

Smays 50mm mini PCI-E mSATA Solid State SSD to USB 3.0 hard disk case Enclosure -Red Color
Smays 50mm mini PCI-E mSATA Solid State SSD to USB 3.0 hard disk case Enclosure -Red Color

Pros: Looks Good

Cons: Actually works*

Overall Review: Using Samasung EVO 1TB mSATA. I was hoping to make this a backup device for my Linux PC. Unlike the black and silver one's I got, the drive is actually detected, but because of them I'm afraid to use this for anything critical like a backup. I ordered 3 of these: 1 Red, 1 Silver, and 1 Black for backup of my Linux, OS X, and Windows notebooks, respectively. The silver and black one arrived DoA. I don't have any belief in the red one as a result. I'm looking for an alternate solution. I have 2 Kingwin units I bought here, and 1 of another brand I got from another retailer (!a on DuckDuckGo). The latter runs really hot, and I would not recommend it. The Kingwin units work really well, but I couldn't do color coding. I'll probably just buy 3 more of those and put a sticker or a label on them. So much for an elegant solution.

Purchased Item, Shipping Label Created, Item Never Shipped

As I have reviewed before on an older purchase made 11/3/2020, this second order was placed 11/16/2020. A shipping label for this order was created 11/24/2020, however no item has ever shipped. The seller NEVER responds to emails, and as others have stated; getting a claim going with NewEgg is quite difficult.

Shipping Label created right away, item never shipped

I have messaged the seller two times already, it's been 30 days since I placed the order. They created the "shipping label" right away. However, if you check the status, the item has never been shipped. I honestly want my item, but looking at the seller's history with other buyers; it's clear this is a common problem with them. They create shipping labels so it appears to NewEgg that the product has shipped, when in reality it never does.
