Pros: very clear and crisp sound while gaming. analog dongle is a plus for me. automatic sound profile swap per application is pretty useful. sound processing is very impressive. low profile is nice option, if you go that route. 7.1 surround processing for stereo source is pretty cool. it sends appropriate vocals to center, front, etc.

Cons: very faint interference while loading crysis and crysis wars. stops once menu is loaded up. doesn't do this on any other game i have tried. not a big deal, but weird. creative software seems to load a lot slower than it should. i installed latest software pack from auzentech site.

Overall Review: at first, i thought i made a mistake buying this. it was either this or the xonar, and since i game i went with the x-fi. after messing around with the settings, i got my music to sound the way i wanted. -windows 7 ultimate x64

Cons: sleep mode. you cannot take it out of this. drive will disappear from explorer if it is inactive. wd does not have a fix for this. multiple users have requested, but they don't see it as a flaw. this is a major problem. don't plan on installing anything, or storing music, or anything that you want access to without restarting the drive. doesn't include esata cable doesn't match my other my book, black isn't glossy

Overall Review: i found a work around for the sleep issue. there are a few, but i have been using xsleep. it will write extremely small amounts (bytes) to the drive in intervals that you select. wd's drive tools claim to be able to keep the drive awake during usb connectivity. so there is no point in getting this one. the wd tools don't work on windows 7 either, so if you are running xp, you may get lucky. i do not recommend.

Pros: Very high quality board. Unbeatable price. Intelligent PCI slot spacing. 2 full x16 PCI express slots running simultaneously. Clearly labeled ports. EZ overclock settings in bios for those unfamiliar with manual overclocking.

Cons: The colors of the included cables are yellow. No USB 3.0 or sata 3.

Overall Review: Easily flashed bios after first boot. I didn't even have to format for my system to recognize and install chipset drivers. After reading so many negative reviews, I was hesitant to purchase this board, but the price was so low that I figured it was worth it. Of all the systems I have put together in the past, this was the first one that worked perfectly on first boot. I only changed RAM speed and have had no problems. Highly recommended.

Overall Review: very happy with this drive. it is a bit longer than my dvd burner, but just about an inch. no problem fitting into my case. blue led activity light matches most setups. also comes with some software. i didn't use it, but it is nice to have. highly recommended!
