Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) Unbuffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR800D2N5K2/2G

Pros: I installed 4 gigs of this into an abit aw9d max mb and worked perfectly. I did have to adjust the timings manually though.

Cons: a heat spreader would be nice, but they run crisy cool.

Overall Review: A little expensive, but the tradeoff is zero problems.

New ideas to a low priced case

Rosewill R5601-BK 0.8mm Japanese Cold Rolled Steel Screw-less Dual 120mm Fans ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Rosewill R5601-BK 0.8mm Japanese Cold Rolled Steel Screw-less Dual 120mm Fans ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Built in MB risers, screwless design is great, moves a TON of air! The mounting hardware for Harddrives, 5.25 inch bays, and the 3.5 inch bay is almost to good. Case is thick enough to accomodate any aftermarket processor cooler.

Cons: Nothing included to seal off the side venilation if a person wanted to seal it off. I had to seal the side vents off so it moves more air through the case. The reset button absolutely sucks. It is almost impossible to use.

Overall Review: Ditching fancy style for performance is something you trade for in this case. It still looks great though. This case is an awsome deal, just make use you get a good quality PSU with a 120mm fan on it to help pull air out of the case. This case pulls close to 100 cubic feet per minute when it's setup properly which is enough to keep any system extra chilly.

Does what it is supposed to.

iStarUSA TC-4/8 6 in. 4 pin to 8 pin ATX EPS12V Converter
iStarUSA TC-4/8 6 in. 4 pin to 8 pin ATX EPS12V Converter

Pros: Does exactly what it is supposed to.

Cons: none

Overall Review: I wish it could have had black ends instead of white ends. It doesn't matter though.

Memory defaulting.

ABIT AW9D-MAX LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard
ABIT AW9D-MAX LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: There is so many pros to this board I can't write them all down.

Cons: I don't like the sata location next to the processor.

Overall Review: This is probably the best board for the core 2 duo setup. It is quad ready, but I wouldn't recommend running a quad core on it.

ABIT AW9D MAX install.

Scythe SCINF-1000 120mm CPU Cooler
Scythe SCINF-1000 120mm CPU Cooler

Pros: Large size, quiet operation, awsome cooling.

Cons: the fan doesn't have an RPM monitor

Overall Review: When installing in a abit aw9d max install the fan three fins lower and let air pass directly over the cpu.

Don't forget the 4 to 8 pin adapter

FSP Group AX500-A 500W ATX12V Power Supply
FSP Group AX500-A 500W ATX12V Power Supply

Pros: Can't say enough great things about this power supply

Cons: I wish it included a 4 to 8 pin atx12v1 adapter

Overall Review: Best quality under triple digit spending.
