This CPU rocks! Great for AM2+ boards

Pros: Originally put an Athlon IIX2 250 processor, but after installing drivers, and loading OS, we started benchmarking it for a gaming rig, and quickly realized that we needed more horsepower! I built a new system with Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H, Phenom II X 4 940 black edition 3.0 ghz, HP DVD burner i1270, MSI 5770 video card, Western Digital Caviar Black edition 640GB, OCZ Power Supply, Win 7 prof, and two sets Crucial N82E168201481602, 4 Sticks of 2GB set at 5-5-5-15 timings and 800 Ghz speed in BIOS, per a previous RAM reviewer.
Cons: This CPU is not very flat and makes a lot of heat. After initial build the temp on it rocketed to 70 degrees on Prime 95. So we got a Zalman 9900ALED cooler and X-23, lapped the processor, g00gle this! and installed with only an extremely thin (spread with razor blade) coating on CPU, a stain of X-23 dabbed (with finger in sandwich bag) on the Cooler, and a small bead of X-23 placed on center of CPU directly before installation. Now idles one degree above room temperature. It maxes out at 57 degrees on prime 95 on top heat test, others are cooler.
Overall Review: Consider a top of the line cooler, your choice, and good thermal paste. The lapping process was interesting but not for everyone. My first try of X-23, seems fine, first install was with a smaller cooler, it was not enough. Do not cheap out on the cooler, I bought this without the OEM cooler, so I had to do something, the cheap cooler was hot to the touch at the base of the cooler, where it contacts the CPU, but it could not get rid of heat fast enough, not enough heat pipes! This is an easy safe build, I have not OC'd the CPU, there is no need... You can build newer, but there are many people reporting instabilities... I pretty much just went with components that were compatible, and took the best rated product of each type, then read reviews to check for people reporting products that were incompatible. NEW EGG has all of the components for an awesome build... GO YOLKSTERS!
Great Wireless Card, Poor Drivers

Pros: Great Wireless card, easy installation. Strong signal after correct driver is installed.
Cons: Poor drivers. Try the Drivers for Gigabyte GN-WP01gs, they will work perfectly.
Overall Review: I loaded the supplied software and drivers, that failed. I went to the website and downloaded the newest drivers first without software, then with the software, this also failed. I could get the computer to connect to the router, but then it would loose it, after a few minutes, or a few hours. It never just worked well. So I once again uninstalled the card(right click on computer, choose manage) Finally I went to the Web and in a search for what answers other people had found. I came across a discussion that stated to download the driver and software from Gigabyte intended for the GN-WP01GS wireless card. I don't know if this is an issue with XP or older computers or what. But now the old dell computer is finally connected wirelessly. Try the Gigabyte intended for the GN-WP01GS if you cannot get the correct driver to work, it worked perfect for me, and the configuration software is simple and easy to use.
Great RAM!

Pros: Using in my older PC, works great, just rocking along without any problems.
Cons: One day I will have to upgrade to newer computer, but this has helped to put that off until well into the computer.
Overall Review: Just noticed that I have never reviewed this product. Hopefully not to late to help someone else.
Works great, no issues.

Pros: Works great, looks sharp, easy installation.
Cons: Did not need 1394, never have, What is this far anyway?
Overall Review: Seems to work great with my new build(rebuild of all but the case). I built a new system with Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H, Phenom II X 4 940 black edition 3.0 ghz, HP DVD burner I1270, MSI 5770 video card, Western Digital Caviar Black edition 640GB, OCZ Power Supply, Win 7 prof, and two sets Crucial N82E168201481602, 4 Sticks of 2GB. Great PS, Do not fall for buying more than needed!

Pros: I built a new(everything but the case) gaming system with Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H, Phenom II X 4 940 black edition 3.0 ghz, HP DVD burner I1270, MSI 5770 video card, Western Digital Caviar Black edition 640GB, OCZ Power Supply, Win 7 prof, and two sets Crucial N82E168201481602, 4 Sticks of 2GB. Running memory timings as 5-5-5-15 and 800 Ghz speed set in bios...per review for the crucial memory. Stayed on budget!
Cons: Love not having more wires than needed, this modular harness is great, you only have to add additional wire plug bundles as needed! Beats the old days of tie everything out of the way.
Overall Review: This is plenty of Power supply for all but the most intensive systems. Perfect for a budget gaming system with one video card. Especially since these new cards are very efficient, compared with older, and some of the still on the market GPUs that really suck energy, but perform less! This is an easy safe build, I have not OC'd the CPU, there is no need... You can build newer, but there are many people reporting instabilities... I pretty much just went with components that were compatible, and took the best rated product of each type, then read reviews to check for people reporting products that were incompatible. Used for Laptop, Readyboost.

Pros: Seems to work fine. I like the idea that using the readyboost on this drive, left in laptop, the hard drive will be hit less often. Should help life span, heat, etc. on the hard drive.
Cons: None that I know of. Would love to find some media especially made for readyboost!
Overall Review: Researched the readyboost feature of win 7 and it is difficult to find products that will work well and increase the speed. I finally just picked one that did well on a test review, and put it in the laptop. I don't really notice the difference, but the new DELL 1464 is already extremely fast! For my wife web surfing, FB, and checking email this is all that is needed. I have never bothered benchmarking with or without the card. Her computer is really just an appliance, not anything exciting. So this should be fine.
