The best card for gaming at 1440P
Pros: Impressive out of the box, and even more impressive performance; feels like you've spent your money wisely upon further inspection; no overclocking needed for maximum frame-rates; best back-plate in the business non debatable, it expends around the edges to protect the aluminum fins also: speaking of fins, they're very strait and evenly spread out unlike some other brands like the Aorus Extreme for instance; very easy to open for thermal paste change or fan shroud removal which I did and put 2 Corsair ML 120 instead for even cooler temps and extremely low noise; as soon as you start a game the card frequency boost up to 1911 MHz which is more than you need for a 1070ti.
Cons: Loud fans at load; you have to support it with a post or similar or watch it sag (but that's a given GIVEN the weight of it); some don't like the yellow but I do, and very much, it adds a pleasing industrial look, and it's very easy to paint over it if you wish if you know how to use a spray can.
Overall Review: As I said I changed the fans and I now got a water-cooling like noise and performance, well not exactly like water but I came close, I get 44 C on load 31 C at idle, and If I change the fan profile to silent I get 54 C to 61 C on load and 25 C to 29 C on idle. I'm going to make a YouTube video explaining how I did it under the title " ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Ti with 2 Corsair ML 120 fans".
Be aware of Blog ware
Pros: Sleeping dogs is nice, so is Hitman.
Cons: UBI Play store is JUNK, I wanted to try Far cry 3 but it didn't recognize the code, Customer service is completely absent. All in All it's just a big waste of time, you have to have steam always installed if you want to play Hit man or Sleeping dogs, Great, that's all I need, more junk software to fill up my ram and start with windows.
Overall Review: If Origin is not enough blog-ware for you, you'll have to download Steam and UBI play-store to play the games, I suggest you go buy the DVDs and take control. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!!!
better than 570 X
Pros: Solid build quality, hinges to hold the door open instead of fully removing it, 3X 140mm RGB fans included, and so much room for water cooling, 5mm glass thickness vs. 4mm that most use, wide enough for fat radiators, removable dust filters on each side…
Cons: On the heavy side at around 40LBS.
Overall Review: I’m going to use this case to replace my P5 open chassis, I might ditch the water cooling for a while and see how it does on air only, I read an article on Tom’s Hardware saying that this is the best case so far for air cooling. The price is not bad at all, 2 clams for a nice 4 tempered glass case with 3 large 140mm RGB fans is a good bargain. Update: This is an update to my initial review, now that I have this case for 3 months I can assure you that is a nice sturdy case, I tried around 6 or 7 builds in it so far including full custom water loop and it never disappointed, looks very pretty and performs very well, I advise you to take all 4 glass panels anytime you move it around to avoid any risk of dropping it and to also make it light. The glass is scratch resistant, I cleaned all the panels with Windex and they look stunning and scratch free unlike acrylic that show streaks anytime you clean it. You can view my set up on YouTube under the title "Thermaltake View 71 made go back to air cooling"
Best RGB ram, period.
Pros: Best, I mean, THE BEST RGB ram on the market, and yes, I had the Corsair RGB and I returned it because it lights up one color per stick while G.Skill lights up multiple colors per stick, and the colors are as vibrant as they come, very pleasing to look at. It performs as advertised, super fast and very stable, the aluminum heat-sinks are very thick and well made, it never gets very hot while gaming.
Cons: It was shipped in an envelope and the box was a little beat up, I bought G.Skill for as long as I can remember and never had any issue, please G.Skill talk to new egg to ship in a small box not an envelope, after all this is a $300 purchase.
Overall Review: Works well with Asus Hero Z270, speed as advertised of 3000MHz, it didn't do so well with the Aorus Gaming K7, crashes if you game, stable at the low speed of 2133MHz however. Please, don't cheap out on the motherboard, I got my CPU stable at 5GHz and my ram stable at 3000MHz with the Hero, so I recommend that or higher quality to get the most of your purchase.
There is Asus and then there is the rest…
Pros: Install was a breeze, I like that the USB 3 front panel is located in the bottom, people with Thermaltake Core P5 would know why! The RGB is a nice touch, vibrant colors, it doesn’t get hot after long sessions of gaming, the Q connector is much better than the Gigabyte’s.
Cons: I had the Aorus Gaming K7 prior to this board, while it was nice looking with that light bar by the ram it gave me so much headache when it comes to overclocking and booting, so many times I turn the PC on but it goes to bios asking for a reset for no reason, I got to 4.7 stable with the Aorus, I thought my CPU was limited to that at first but when I switched to the Hero I got to 5 GHz stable and my memory finally functions at the speed I paid for, 3000Mhz.
Overall Review: Since I got this board 2 months ago I have yet to experience any bluscreen or random errors or boot to bios, every single time I turn on the PC it worked %100. The Audio quality is very nice but I got to give it to the Aorus for the better quality. That is the only thing I missed from the Aorus, especially if you hook up your headphones to the front panel. I always had Asus for both AMD and Intel, and every time I switch I regret it and come back to Asus, forgive me Asus for betraying you sometimes, but I’m back and I pledge allegiance to you forever!
Finally a power supply with a bling!
Pros: Fan less mode under normal use, even when gaming the fan is still silent, nice riing RGB fan, fully modular, flat cables for pleasing look, compact size for all cases, no hum or buzz, unique fan grill design, a lot of extra cables for when you need them, the price is right for a gold certified fully modular PSU...
Cons: The riing light is a little dim for my taste, I wish it were like the Corsair HD fans brightness, the fan is simple black, it would've been stunning if it were frosted white, only one cable that has 4 molex plugs, However, there are more sata cables than you'll ever need, I guess molex connection is dying,
Overall Review: Thermaltake is a good quality products company, been there for a long while, in fact been there when you didn't have many choices, they make long lasting solid products, they were never into the bling factor until now, hence, the OK riing lights. If they make the same power supply with similar Corsair HD RGB fan I will upgrade, not that anything is wrong with this PSU, it's just that I'm a sucker for RGB, and my 2 years old son never gets tired of looking at it.
