Use PWM and never look back

Pros: Using these fans on a new H110i GT water cooler because one of the fans that came with it rattled (apparently Corsair doesn't feel like fixing their fans). So I broke down and spent even more money to buy these to replace the stock fans, super happy I did. At idle I have these set at 700-800rpm and they dropped the liquid temps by about 3 degrees. At idle they're literally silent. Once they hit 1000 rpm they're making a whisper level of noise. At around 1200 rpm you'll know the fans are running, but the thing is if these are anywhere near 1200rpm on a cooler then you're either gaming or benchmarking so it doesn't even matter. BTW, when I say you'll know they're running at 1200 rpm, they still don't even come close to how loud the stock fans on the H110i GT are. At full speed 2000 rpm (which I'll never need) the level of dB is still completely acceptable.

Update to my last post

Pros: OK so since my last post down below I've also had one of the fans rattle. I really don't understand how there are so many reviews of the fans rattling and Corsair hasn't changed them. Either way I had one fan rattle around 1200-1400rpm which is right where they would stay while games. So yeah while idling it would stay quiet, but while gaming it was extremely distracting to have a pulsating rattling noise going the entire time. I tried loosening and tightening the fans but it had no effect on the noise and I left them a little looser on the initial install since I read a review here about not over tightening them
Cons: .
Overall Review: I ended up getting two Noctua NF-A14 IPPC 2000rpm fans and haven't been happier. They idle at 700 rpm and are dead silent, they've dropped the temperature of the coolant, and they haven't need to go above 1200rpm yet. They're literally a perfect match for this cooler.
Good but Loud

Pros: I got this power supply before starting my silent PC build. It works great and does what it was designed to do, but the fan can be a bit loud. More info in Cons
Cons: So this fan was great until I started getting into the silent PC build ideology. I ended up with an NZXT H440 case with the fans clocked down to 55% with my Grid+ fan controller. I bought a Corsair H110i water cooler and fit 2 Noctua NF-A14 IPPC 2000 RPM fans to it and they only run at 700 rpm during normal use. I have a GTX 970 where the fans are completely off until I'm gaming. Literally while I use the computer all of the fans are inaudible. You have to put your face on the computer to hear anything, except..... The 30+ dB of the Rosewill fan. It's supposed to be a silent fan design but trust me when the one power supply fan is louder at idle than the entire case with 6 fans I couldn't deal with it. I ended up buying a Corsair RM750 since the fan is turned off while in light use and it fit the silent build of my computer. Now my computer is virtually silent, you literally can't even tell it's turned on while in normal use.
Overall Review: So here's another solution that I tried before finding the RM750 and opting for that instead. This works if any of you were in the same situation, but you void the warranty and have to drill a separate hole in the Power Supply case. I bought a separate Noctua NF-A14 FLX fan which is 140mm and also completely silent under normal load. I took off the case of my Photon Power Supply, drilled a second hole for the new 140 mm fan (the stock fan is barely smaller at 135mm so the holes won't match up) and I mounted the 140mm fan using two screws. I then used the Low Noise Adapter (not the ultra low noise adapter) and mounted it all back up. My computer ran completely silent with this setup as well, but I liked the thought of a completely clean case and if I can have fans that are completely off then that's my go to now. After doing hours and hours and hours and hours of research on fans, cases, coolers, video cards, anything involving noise in a computer case, I've come to the conclusion that there's absolutely no reason to have a case that makes noise. I mean I won't settle for less than silent now. Everything is so cheap (except Noctua Fans) that there's no reason your case should make noise. Stock fans in a H440 case with a Grid+ adapter to lower RPM and it's a done deal. Video cards now have fans that don't turn on under normal use. Water cooling with 2 Noctua Fans (the only real additional expense and worth every penny) and I have an overclocked build that you could sleep with it in your bed at night if you wanted to.
Amazing Case

Pros: I have to say, it's extremely rare that I write a review on anything that I purchase but this case is well deserving of a 5 star review. I've had it for about a month now, it replaced an old Thermaltake Tsunami Dream case that I had for about 7 years. I just got tired of the noise in the Thermaltake case, I watched and read every review about the H440 and cases that aren't even out yet. I dove in, bought the H440, and even with the stock fans that come with it this thing is near silent. I sit about 3 feet away from it, if I really pay attention I can hear a slight whirring noise from the fans but that's it. Most times my ceiling fan is louder than my computer that has 3 120 fans in the front, 1 140 fan in the back, CPU fan (Noctua NH-U12S so almost silent) and one GTX 770 MSI Twin Frozr with two internal fans going, and the Rosewill Photon 1050 watt power supply. To be honest I think at idle the power supply fans make the most noise out of anything. When I'm gaming you can really hear the GTX 770, but that can't be stopped with the fans running 100%. Other than that the case looks amazing. I didn't want something that screamed gamer, but it has an awesome cable management system that's the best I've personally used on a build. It still has a big window that displays the hard work of hiding everything unnecessary and showing how awesome a well put together machine really looks. I love how the 2 SSD drives sit right in front of the window on top of the power supply enclosure, it adds big time to how good it looks. The all white design with the absence of cables just makes it look that much cleaner and composed over a black case. Aside from looking like a perfect mix of gamer and elegance, it has the added benefit of basically resembling a storm trooper with the bright white and pitch black parts. I'm about to switch over to a Corsair H110i GT water cooler for the CPU which this case will do with no problems.
