My first 4K experience
Pros: Looks beautiful. Awesome color. A factory calibration sheet was included in the box. Underside lighting shows red if sync'd and white if not. That's a pretty neat feature. You can change this to just a static color if you want.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: This is my introduction to 4K and I love it!
Can't recommend, based on my experience
Pros: -Manufacturer has website with compatible hardware. Made it easier to pick out parts. -Installed easily into case -RAM installed smoothly and without fuss. I've had so many other motherboards where I can't tell if the RAM was seated correctly, and I'd have to push so hard I could hear the circuit board crackling. -Love the connections all around the periphery. I've never had such an uncluttered interior!
Cons: -BIOS didn't recognize RAM speed at first. However, the XMP toggle *did* work and recognized the RAM speed just fine. -Received 2 motherboards, and both were broken. 1st motherboard would not load Win10 at all. 2nd motherboard loaded Win10 fine but would throw Code 10 on internal WIFI, even with old and new hardware drivers. -No spare jumper for JBAT BIOS reset pins
Overall Review: I've been assembling my own computers since 1993, and I've never had a bad motherboard until now. And I received 2 bad ones in a row! What a pain it was to diagnose because it took a whole weekend to go through all the hardware combinations. In the end, it was either the CPU or MB, and MSI tech support recommended I replace the MB first. RMA'd the board, and the 2nd one had a broken WIFI chip. Luckily, an add-on WIFI adapter worked fine so I didn't have to RMA the 2nd board. Seeing the other positive reviews, I probably just got unlucky.
MIS is *thumbs up*
Pros: Bought two spindles, and was happy to see they were both MIS (Made in Singapore) instead of MII (made in 1ndia). So far, I've been through the first spindle with zero coasters.
Cons: None.
Reliability Dropping
Pros: When you don't get a defective disk, it works just fine.
Cons: I had 5 bad DVD's in the last 20-pack. Over the past year and a half of purchasing these DVDs, I'd say that I'd get a single bad disk in a lot of 50. Now, with a failure rate of 25%, I can no longer recommend these DVDs to friends and family.
Woo
Pros: Works like a champ once you get the right software.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Made 3 coasters with freeware software before I upgraded the firmware and installed Nero. With Nero and Verbatim disks, so far, I've burned 14 success stories and no failures in DVD+R DL format.
Good performance, but lost data
Pros: Very quick. High storage capacity. Write protect switch.
Cons: Lost about 50% of my data. The drive doesn't seem to like storing a whole bunch of smaller files. However, when I fill it up with a few large files, it seems to be fine. I can't figure it out. So I'll be RMA'ing the stick in hopes I got a defective one.
Overall Review: Write protect switch is tough to move because it's recessed into the body of the stick. That could be a good thing or bad thing depending on your needs.
Nothing bad to say about these guys
They delivered quickly. Delivered the correct product. RMA was easy. Overall happy with ordering from them even though I had to RMA an item.
