Does the Trick!

VANTEC 2-Port SATA II-150 PCI Host Card Model UGT-ST200
VANTEC 2-Port SATA II-150 PCI Host Card Model UGT-ST200

Pros: Gave my older PC the capability to run a newer SATA drive on a IDE motherboard. Did exactly what I was hoping/expecting.

Cons: Had to flash the BIOS on the card before it would work properly. Took quite a while of troubleshooting to figure out that's what it needed. Although this was a pain in the rear, I doubt everyone would need to do it. My particular setup just conflicted.

Overall Review: If anyone runs into a problem where it hangs on the POST where it verifies the SATA controller card, you may need to flash your card BIOS. A little searching and I was able to create an XP start-up disc with updflash and the updated BIOS bin file on it, boot to my floppy and flash that way with a few commands.
