Best Card I've Ever Owned!

VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 900244
VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 900244

Pros: With this graphics card I'm able to run today's games with very high quality and smooth gameplay. Overclocked mine to 790/1100 with ATI Overdrive without any problems. I'm also running Optimal Quality in the ATI Catalyst Drivers, and the quality is out of this world!!!

Cons: There was a normal branded ATI HD 4870 in the Visiontek box. In other words, no special logo from Visiontek like shown in the picture.

Overall Review: Would be best for users to have a powerful CPU to back up a powerful GPU. You could see less performance if you do not have a equal balance between your CPU and GPU. At the moment I'm running a Intel E6600 @ 3333Ghz/ 2GB OCZ 4-4-4-15 @ 740Mhz/ MSI P35 Platinum/ Antec 650W Trio

RMA on First Day!!!!!!!

EVGA GeForce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 256-P2-N516-RX
EVGA GeForce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 256-P2-N516-RX

Pros: The card has terrific performance in all of my games. I can play FEAR maxed out with all eye candy turned on.

Cons: Card came with memory problems and I had to RMA it on the very first day I received. Like people say, you get lucky or you don't, and apparently I wasn't lucky. EVGA needs to actually test their products before they send them out in the product line.

Overall Review: So far EVGA support has been terrific with very fast repsonse time with 24 hour/ 7 day a week customer support. If you purchase this card you should purchase an advanced RMA process.

Terrific Performance

ZALMAN VF900 - CU LED 2 Ball VGA Cooling Fan/Heatsink
ZALMAN VF900 - CU LED 2 Ball VGA Cooling Fan/Heatsink

Pros: Dropped the temperatures of my XFX 6800XT overlcocked to 445/1200 by a huge amount. My card now runs at a cool idle of 35 C (12 C drop) and only runs at a max of 46 C ( About a 20 -30 C drop)

Cons: The price of this unit is overpriced. I can go to my local electronic retialer and purchase it for only $39.99. The fan needs to be connected to a 3 pin power source located on the motherboard, which not all motherboards have. This can be fixed though by buying a 4 pin to 3 pin power adapter to connect the fan directly to the power supply.

Overall Review: I would recommned using some Artic Silver Thernmal Compound to increase heat tranfers.

Great Thernal Compound

Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G
Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G

Pros: Used with Zalman 900 VPU and received terrific temperature drops from both the new fan and the thermal coumpound. This is a must buy if your planning to install a high performance cooler.

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: When appyling I reccomend using about the same amount as a piece of rice. To ensure best performance spread the compound using a plastic bag to completely cover the heantsink.

XFX PVT42EUDE3 GeForce 6800XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card
XFX PVT42EUDE3 GeForce 6800XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: This video card can BF2, Fear, and other demanding games with mostly high settings at a decent resolution.

Cons: The only real draw back the video card has is its 350Mhz Core Clock.

Overall Review: I overclocked the card to 450/1100 and received a terrific increase in fps and the overall smoothness of games. Temperatures reach about only 65 C while playing demanding 3D games.
