Great worked out of the box
Pros: Was one of the few internal network cards that worked with vista 64 with no issues, many of the linksys ones I have purchased have been a nightmare, for the price, and ease of setup giving you the choice to just install the driver or the driver and the extra software for the wireless card"its not needed" but that alone giving me the choice was great. But all in all very impressed with this, great signal range, easy install.
Overall Review: put into a little shuttle budget machine I built for someone. Great buy, and one of the few that says its compatabile with xp/vista 32/64
Do Not Buy......
Pros: Feels nice on your head, lots of options.... when it works...
Cons: Its soundcard goes out, starts to crackle, or cuts out fully RAZER stated in Email there is no solution for this as of yet....Push to talk on vent due to this unit stops working... Support will tell you to update your os, etc even though you have fully updated it, dnloaded the hot fixes"that do not apply to your system because you already have sp2 of vista". For the price you paid it should just work.... the speaker surround options bug out where you can tweak each one, just start blinking sparatically.... response email below and nothing back from them I have a 150 dollar piece of junk that they are doing nothing about.... I even replyed to that email and its been over a week notta, dont buy...
Overall Review: Razer and Microsoft are aware of intermittent issues that may occur with the Razer Megalodon and users of certain Vista 64 bit systems. The most common issue will be your audio or your microphone cutting out. We are working hard to find an answer to this intermittent problem and hope to have a solution in the very near future. We know this issue is very frustrating for you and we are working hard to find the solution. We ask kindly for your patience as we try to remedy this issue for any of the affected users. Megalodon users with other types of updated operating systems are not affected by this issue. If you are using a Megalodon and are having similar issues please be sure your operating system has all the available updates installed. Vista users want to make sure that Service Pack 2 (SP2) has been installed on their computers. If you are in need of further assistance with your Megalodon please contact us at the links below and we will be happy to assist you. Best Regar
Fast ram sadly can only use 1x kit...
Pros: My I9 12900KF 3DMark Score went from 16,700-16,800 to 17,893 going from DDR4 3600 CL18 to DDR4 4000mhz CL16 that runs at 1t and in G1. My 3DMark CPU scores were stock settings on the CPU and Ram. Cyberpunk 2077 nearly maxed out Ultra Raytracing/DLSS Performance went from 50-60 minimum FPS in high NPC populated areas to 70-80 FPS in the same areas have save files. The second kit is in the second Machine on a Core i9 10900KF can only run in 2T at 4000mhz
Cons: Can only run one kit of this ram with the bios's that are available. Have a feeling the Z690 DDR4 boards will not be around long with 13th gen cpu's coming out this year. Not a con on G.SKill but trying to get MSI to provide a bios that will let me run all 4 sticks of ram from the two kits. An email from G.Skill said it should work its B-Die and its compatible. I have been mixing high capacity & fast single sticks, to multiple kits from 2006 to 2021. Must have had amazing luck because this is the first kit that does not want to work together on a board with two separate kits.
Overall Review: If you are thinking about running two of the same kits chances are you can only run one kit at least on a z690 higher tier DDR4 board unless your lucky and get two of the same kits. Go with one. Other than that ram is super fast with just one kit.
Runs any game at 1920x1080
Pros: This card can handle any game thrown at it at 1920x1080. Have played Crysis 1 2 & 3, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Battlefield 3, Defiance, Deadspace 1 2 & 3, Skyrim heavily modded, Metro 2033 & Last light, Dragonage 1 & 2, Guildwars 2, Aliens vs Predator, the Old Republic Online, Resident evil 5 6 & revelations, dishonored, Bioshock all of them, Boarderlands 1 & 2 and Shadow Runner Returns. All with vsync on to prevent screen tearing. As for temps first card in a long time I can leave auto fan on and not go over 60c not to mention the card runs almost silent.
Cons: I didn't get from newegg but cannot beat the deal I got on amz for $350
Overall Review: Running this PC with Core I7 970 Intel DX58OG Ripjaws X Series 48GB DDR3 1333 Vengeance Series C70 Military Green case SuperNOVA NEX750G 2x WD6000HLHX 600GB 1TB Samsung 7200 120GB GSkill Phoenix SSD
Pros: Size, looks good in a case, does what it should when it works...
Cons: Pump is really cheap, will not even send a signal to motherboard if it has failed/is failing, PC was having hard locks the lights would go out on my mouse. So figured it was a firmware issue on my mouse then in the middle of a firmware update wham computer locked up and my razer old republic mouse bricked, got a death adder from Wally World. Was gaming and kept locking up, then just in windows same thing same symptoms as before . Then not even windows was stable I heard a loud grinding then a large pop. It was 100% dead. Lost money on hardware it took out, really a huge disappointment nor will I buy an over priced cooler master anything agai. So buyer beware keep away from this and or any other cm product
Overall Review: Stay away
Pros: Lots of room for anything! Have a corsair h50 unit, and an Artic cooling Accellero hybrid gpu cooler both in the top of the case. Sturdy, very well built & designed. Handles on the top are great when you need to move your PC. The easy latch system for the side panels makes getting to anything in your case easy & painless. Just an all out great case. Was looking at this and the hafx, cooler masters case does not hold a candle next to this one.
Cons: On other side of motherboard tray the plastic latches are a little flimsy. They break easily take your time. If you plan in liquid cooling be it a simple closed system or more traditional and you plan on having push pull fans on the radiators make sure board & ram are installed first. Along with the MOSFET cooler some boards have at the top if its too large you may want to get some small low profile passive copper heat sinks to keep the MOSFET chips cool and not keeping you from installing the second fan on the radiator.
Overall Review: Didn't get it on the egg was cheaper to get locally.
