Did ASUS fix the Ethernet problem from the 690's with this board? It was a common complaint that most were reduced to having to use wifi and lived with it.

Ethernet works fine, be careful with your memory though. After 2 days of frustration, I finally got mine up and going. There was an issue at first with not reading the NVME also.

What does the E mean on the Z790 E ?

Tjust purchased the z590 and z790 Asus. And the only issue I had with Ethernet was it didn't work until I updated the hardware. Now it works great

Wifi/Bluetooth Performance, my previous mobos suffer from terrible Wifi and Bluetooth performance (IE Xbox Controller). How does this do?

I have no had any problems with the WiFi on this mobo. The speed has been great and I have not experienced any packet loss. I do primarily game via ethernet cord. I have had to be wireless a few times. As far as the bluetooth, I do not actually use anything bluetooth at this time, so I cannot speak to that.

Does 128gb of ram work well with this board? heard lots of issues running for sticks of 32gb of ram still for DDR5

I'm running 2 32gb (64gb) DDR5 6400MHz with no problem but before turn on the XMP III I update the latest Bios at the time was BIOS 0816

What Intel CPU will work out of the box without needing to update the bios?

i9-13900K worked out of the box. Did have to update the BIOS to get XMP to work properly though.

What intel processor works right out of the box with no bios update needed?

None! The BIOS firmware is for the Motherboard and fixes issues related to everything that plugs into it. Any LGA 1700 will work, most builders are going with the i9-1300K. The ROG Z790 has had several updates for M2 SSD bugs since launch in OCT 2022. My board ran fine for a month until a MS update then network adapter failed to function, the Jan 2023 BIOS update fixed the issue. It's always a good practice to check monthly for BIOS Firmware updates for at least the first six months the board is out, experience is the best teacher. Check the BIOS version installed on the MB, it might have the latest, if not the USB update while in BIOS seems to work best. Armory Crate said it installed the new update but BIOS didn't show the correct version. Never build a new system without checking and installing the latest BIOS firmware, Never!

Is this board multi gpu capable?

Yes, depending on the thickness of the GPUs. Space between PCI is 3 slots

Does this board actually support windows 11? I can't seem to find any reference to the TPM module I thought was required for all windows 11 installations...

TPM 2.0 is built into the board - no socket.
