Great

Philips Norelco NT9130/40 D-finer Precision trimmer
Philips Norelco NT9130/40 D-finer Precision trimmer

Pros: + Very long battery life: I bought this in November, use it a few times a week and still haven't had to replace the batteries yet. + Love the case, great for organization + Gentle on the face, easy to replace tips. + Small.

Cons: The blade of the nose & ear-hair trimmer is recessed, probably to protect the sensitive tissue in those areas. As a result, you'll have to use a little extra pressure to get to the small hairs in those places. It's a very minor complaint, but could bother some a little.

Overall Review: I'd buy another again in a second

Most Critical Review

Okay, but wouldn't buy again

NETGEAR 48-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Pro Switch, 4 SFP GbE Fiber Ports, Poe/PoE+, 384w, ProSAFE Lifetime Protection (GS752TP)
NETGEAR 48-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Pro Switch, 4 SFP GbE Fiber Ports, Poe/PoE+, 384w, ProSAFE Lifetime Protection (GS752TP)

Pros: Price. This little guy has a bunch of features for its price compared to the competition. You can't find a 48-port PoE layer-3 switch for this value. It has enterprise networking features you need to manage traffic in a small-medium business environment. Flow control, QoS, VLANs, routing and ACLs -- everything you need to segment your network and stop chatty machines from bringing it to a crawl.

Cons: Here's the kicker: the UI is slow, buggy and NETGEAR doesn't care. It throws JS errors in every modern browser. Netgear recommends (get this...) that you use *IE8* in 2014; they say other browsers "are not supported." Many features are unusable unless you keep an old browser/VM around for the express purpose of managing your switch 0.o. That's inexcusable and tacky. For that matter, their support is terrible. They implement QoS in a weird way on this switch, so I called for help. I waited a month for them to reply to me with an inconclusive answer. When I figured out they didn't know how to use their own hardware, I finally just did trial and error until I verified the correct tagging of my traffic with a packet monitor. Problem solved in a day.

Overall Review: The switch is okay and all four are still working after a year running 24/7. I admit though, I would easily spend the extra money for better support, a richer feature set, and a stable UI if I had to do it over again.

Good, but needs improvement

Logitech G700s 910-003584 Black 13 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired / Wireless Laser Rechargeable Gaming Mouse
Logitech G700s 910-003584 Black 13 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired / Wireless Laser Rechargeable Gaming Mouse

Pros: + Ability to function as wireless & wired. + Great tracking, low friction, ergonomic shape, comfortable! + Plenty of buttons!

Cons: - Battery life is poor in normal performance mode, and worse on max. Max is preferred for online FPS. - I ***suspect*** there is no auto-shutoff for battery charging, evidenced by the short lifespan of the batteries I put in it. - The wired cable is extremely stiff and creates too much resistance for gaming. Replace with a thinner micro-USB cable. - THE REAL KILLER: custom mapping software does not always detect the mouse when it is in wireless mode, making this a rather useless "wireless" mouse. This is an unacceptable software bug Logitech is clearly in no hurry to fix.

Overall Review: Although this is in many ways an excellent mouse, I will go for another brand next time: + This mouse was expensive, and I can't use my profiles in wireless mode. Logitech has yet to issue a software/firmware fix after months on the market. + The last two iterations of the Logitech Setpoint software suffered from extremely irritating, long-lived software bugs that were never fixed and reduced the functionality of the mouse and or computer it was used on. I see this version of Setpoint is also a disappointment so far. + My last three mice have all been Logitech gaming series mice, and they all started having physical problems after 1-2 years of normal use (not transported, treated kindly, no spills, etc). I'll come back to Logitech when they've got some better quality control. Sorry Logi, you've dropped the ball again.
