Rock solid no-nonsense board

Pros: - Rock solid - Great manageability & security features I purchased this board for my home workstation primarily because it offered Intel's vPro technology and an integrated TPM. The physical layout of the board offered no hurdles while I was building my system, and the BIOS setup was a breeze. I've been running this board constantly since I installed it about 4 months ago without any major issues.
Cons: - Too few USB 3.0 ports - DVI strangeness - Backplate/shield doesn't fit the DisplayPort The motherboard includes just two USB 3.0 ports on the back panel... That's it. No USB 3.0 internal headers at all. I have encountered some minor issues: My secondary display, which is plugged into the DVI-D port, sometimes displays incorrectly, with the desktop extending slightly below the bottom edge of the display (otherwise, the image fits perfectly on the display). I've used both of my displays with three other computers, and none of them have exhibited a similar behavior. Finally, the DisplayPort doesn't quite fit the IO backplate (shield) that came with my motherboard. Not a big deal, but it will require some finessing when I'm ready to use the DisplayPort.
Overall Review: Despite my complaint about the lack of USB 3.0 ports, I haven't actually had a chance to use a USB 3.0 enabled device with this motherboard. I've read about other people experiencing issues, but can't substantiate any of those claims. If you're not interested in the vPro and TPM features of this motherboard, buy something else. The DQ67SW is aimed at business markets. Without much/any overclocking support or advanced graphics features like SLI, this motherboard doesn't make for a very good enthusiast product.
Beautiful behemoth

Pros: - Well constructed - Lots of room - Quiet Like all of the Antec cases I've purchased in the past, the p280 is solidly constructed and offers a host of crowd pleasing conveniences. The solid construction, variable speed cooling fans, and insulated front panel all lend to a very quiet computing experiences. The ample interior allows for easy access to internal components, which was much appreciated during the assembly of my new desktop.
Cons: - Big In this situation, a "pro" might also be a "con". Having read comments from other reviewers about the size of this enclosure, I measured out its dimensions to get a feel for its size before adding it to my cart. Even knowing what I was getting into, I was shocked to see the p280 in real life. The p280 has a presence that can't be adequately conveyed by measurements or even 1:1 scale drawings on a whiteboard. Even 4 month later, my cat refuses to cohabitate with it's dark bulk in the same room and I occasionally receive sidelong glance from my wife as if she's asking, "are you serious?"
Overall Review: Despite it's massive bulk (and price), I'm very happy with my purchase.
Intel - its an easy choice

Pros: 4 physical cores Super fast
Cons: None
Overall Review: I purchased this processor about 4 months ago and I've been running it non-stop since then. I purchased this processor because it offered integrated graphics (I'm not a gamer), Intel's vPro technology, and all the virtualization bells and whistles a guy could want. I thought about getting an i7 instead of the i5-2400, but the truth is, this i5 is overkill for about 90% of the work I do.
Good little drive

Pros: Low power Very quiet Good performance
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Overall Review: I purchased 4 of these drives back in February (2012) for a desktop I was building to serve as my all-in-one virtualization lab. All four drives arrived in perfect condition and installed without any problems. I've now been running all four drives non-stop for about the last 4 months without issue. When it comes to sharing IOs between virtualized systems, disk IOs can be a performance bottleneck. I purchased this model of hard drive as a compromise between cost, noise level, and performance. I'm quite satisfied with the results. Why didn't I give the Scorpio Black 5 stars? In my mind, 5 star reviews are reserved for products that wow me. The Scorpio Black 2.5" drives perform admirably, but I haven't been wowed by them or experienced anything I wasn't expecting.
