A good board for the price

Pros: The RAID 5 works, i set up winxp on it, then removed a disk from the array, and it still booted!!(took like 30mins or more to boot) Put another drive in and rebuilt the array(that took even longer), awesome!(see other thoughts) You can't really beat this board for the price, just make sure you get some good RAM(see other thoughts). Lots of options in the BIOS. It has 8x SLI, but i'm not using it.
Cons: Does not support DDR2 800 Mhz. I could not get this board to overclock, but it was probabaly the OCZ Gold 6400 RAM, it kept locking it up when i changed anything.(see other thoughts) Works fine at 533mhz though. FSB maximum value is 1300.
Overall Review: Make sure you have all the same model drives if your doing a RAID 5. I initially set it up with 2 seagates, and 1 WD, but the WD failed. Possibly because the seagates use perpendicular technology, and the WD doesn't. When i put in another seagate (same model) the raid worked great. If you have the OCZ gold 6400 RAM, i feel sorry for you cause it sucks, but you CAN get it to work on this board. you have to boot into the bios with some generica 1.8v RAM. Set the RAM voltage to 2.0v set the memory speed to 533Mhz and the FSB to 1066. leave everytihng else at the defaults, save settings, swap RAM. It should work fine now. I could not overclock on this board, probably because of the sh1tty OCZ Memory. Everytime i tried to run at anything other than 533 the system would lock up. I'm trying to help people out with this review, it took a long time to write, so if they remove important stuff from this review, i'm not going to write anymore.
If your RAM is over 1.9v do not get this board

Pros: Cheap. I guess it's not bad, if you have the right memory.
Cons: ECS tech support is a joke. It shows DIMM voltage control in the manual, but it doesn't exist in the BIOS. I downloaded the manual before i bought this board to see if there was voltage control, thats why i got this board, then when i got it, no voltage control. False advertising by ECS. Could not use with my OCZ GOLD 2.0v Memory. Very few bios settings.
Overall Review: For all the people who say "Check the motherboard memeory compatibility list", that just guarantess that the memory on their list will work, but it doesn't guarantee that other memory won't.
Great B550 microATX Board for decent price - Update broke USB disconnecting/reconnecting

Pros: USB-C Large heatsinks 6 sata ports 4 ram slots 2 m.2 slots ryzen 4th gen support plenty of fan headers PCIE gen4 support
Cons: No optical audio rebate UPDATE: Well, worked good for around a week, Then the motherboard broke. The USB devices keep disconnecting and reconnecting, i've unplugged EVERY USB device from the computer as well as the USB case connectors and it still shows a usb device disconnecting/reconnecting. Tried resetting bios, reflashing bios, i'm out of ideas. I posted the issue on ASRock forums and didn't receive a single response. I have to give them 1 star, they could have at least said it's a known issue, or send it in for repairs or something, but no response, NOTHING. Thanks for nothing Asrock.
Overall Review: Paired up with a Ryzen 5 3600 and this thing screams. Loaded XMP setting and 2 sticks of memory are running at 3200 without issues. It's got a large amounts of ports/IO for a microATX board. Feels heavy and well built. Everything works as it should and i didn't have to install any drives they were all downloaded from windows update and worked correctly. Great motherboard for the price. Mine came with version 1.00 bios, and 1.10 is available on their website if you want to update. "This review for ASRock review rebate program. Serial Number: D6M0XB048252
Works well with 2 sticks of RAM, Runs slow with 4 Sticks

Pros: -2 sticks of corsair LPX 3200 memory will run at full speed -USB type C
Cons: -4 sticks of corsair LPX 3200 will not run at full speed, and if you force it to, it fails memtest. It ends up running at 2133 -Last bios update was from 7/2018
Overall Review: - I'm hoping they will update the bios to fix this issue, but i'm not holding my breath.
Good barebones system, but the fan is loud and sounds like it won't last long

Pros: Speedy little system. Good form factor. Probably one of the most powerful mini pcs you can buy.
Cons: My main gripe is that the fan is really loud, sounds like it might be dying. It doesn't sound smooth at all. I should have done an exchange before my 30 days were up.
Overall Review: The sata connector is really awkward to connect, it is very close to the side of the case and you have to use quite a bit of force, but once it's on it's fine. No hdmi 2.0, but i knew this before buying. If the fan wasn't messed up i'd probably give this a 4 or 5. But with the loud fan i'd give it a 3 or 3.5. (i can hear it while i'm typing this and it's annoying.)
Poor range

Pros: Specs look good on paper but this thing is JUNK. Range is horrible. I got an Asus RT-N53 for under $20 that blows this thing to smitereens. If i am right next to this router it is relatively fast, but moving more than 5 feet away and the speed drops dramatically. Linksys used to be good, but not anymore.
Cons: Everything. Literally the worst firmware i have ever used and no 3rd party firmware support.
