Works well on a larger area...

Cool Living CL-PAC122 12,000 Cooling Capacity (BTU) Portable Air Conditioner
Cool Living CL-PAC122 12,000 Cooling Capacity (BTU) Portable Air Conditioner

Pros: This unit is actually a "SoleusAir" made by Gree...it does a decent job dehumidifying and cooling down a two room area (25'X25'). We have crank open windows, so I mounted it through the wall in a 6" pipe. Now I can open the window on nicer days.

Cons: You may need to have a dedicated circuit for it...I did! It would blow a breaker in 15 seconds. I re-wired a dryer circuit that was close by. The 1st yr it seemed to handle the water better (it's suppose to go out the hot air exhaust) this yr I've had to empty it and it's too close to the floor to make that easy!

Overall Review: Works well; not too noisy; good for renters (We have a home without central air in WI.

Bit the bullet...it's too HOT!

SOLEUS AIR KY120E1 12,000 Cooling Capacity (BTU) Evaporative Portable Air Conditioner
SOLEUS AIR KY120E1 12,000 Cooling Capacity (BTU) Evaporative Portable Air Conditioner

Pros: Makes 2 large rooms comfortable. Can handle/maintain temperatures up to 90 then it loses ground (a few degrees).

Cons: I had to put it on its own circuit...it would blow the circuit breaker in 2 different areas. I used a short extension cord and the old electric dryer circuit. Discharge tube gets hot! Difficult to vent without sash windows.

Overall Review: Does the job. I did buy another Soleus 8K BTU for use in bedroom and popup camper! Good Deals @ NewEgg!

Cordless Phone Batteries

Panasonic Eneloop AAA 800mAh 2100 Cycle Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries 4 Pack
Panasonic Eneloop AAA 800mAh 2100 Cycle Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries 4 Pack

Pros: These batteries charge faster and last longer than the originals, when they were new! (used in a Panasonic BluTooth Cell Answering Machine/Cordless phone)

Cons: none

Overall Review: These were a good buy on something that's less a PIA now!

Basic card

PowerColor Go! Green Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 CrossFireX Support Low Profile Graphics Card AX5450 1GBK3-SHEV4
PowerColor Go! Green Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 CrossFireX Support Low Profile Graphics Card AX5450 1GBK3-SHEV4

Pros: Cheap...it worked!

Cons: Actually lowered my "Windows Experience Index"! The dual-core (integrated) was better at video enhancement than the added card. The card slowed the system when coming out of "Standby" mode. (some systems will Blue Screen at this point)

Overall Review: If you have a 32-bit OS keep in mind that you can only access around 3.5 Gb's of memory including the graphics card!

DOA!

Insten 675714 VGA to S-Video / 3 RCA Adapter
Insten 675714 VGA to S-Video / 3 RCA Adapter

Pros: None

Cons: Dead/not working on arrival. Tried RCA jacks and S-Vid and there was nothing at all on the flat screen. (I have an old Norcent flat panel without VGA input and thought I would keep it out of the landfill by using it as a monitor!) It was too cheap to bother sending it back!

Overall Review: Test something before you sell it?

Didn't buy from NewEgg!

Sceptre 32" 720p 60Hz LED HDTV E328BV-HDH
Sceptre 32" 720p 60Hz LED HDTV E328BV-HDH

Pros: Nice 2nd HD TV for the kids or back-up!

Cons: Sound is lacking...Sammy's seem to have the best stock speakers!

Overall Review: I bought this from Walmart online and store pick-up after constantly checking prices for a month. I like NewEgg...but I got the same one for $169 total price! (I did have to pick-it-up though!)
