Solved all my sata DVD+RW problems

Pros: Inexpensive, not a VIA chip.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: This card was recognized immediately by my computer, and now my BIOS offers my sata Optiarc DVD+RW as a bootable device. I dual boot with Slackware 12.2 and Mythbuntu 9.04, and both recognize it without additional drivers or configuration. DVD's burn without error and play back without choppiness. No conflict with onboard VIA sata on an ASRock K7VT4A pro. That motherboard will not support sata DVD (at least in Linux), but this SYBA pci card fixed all that.
Outlasted the 30-day return for exchange policy.

Pros: Inexpensive, two fans, three SATA power connectors, majority of reviews were 4 and 5 eggs.
Cons: Started failing the fifth week of ownership, outside Newegg's return for replacement period.
Overall Review: Week before it died completely, the computer would shut down randomly as if the power cord were pulled. The computer is plugged into a high quality surge protector. I tried the hec psu in another pc to make sure that the psu was dead.
Works great with Ubuntu 12.04

Pros: Works with Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows Vista
Cons: None
Overall Review: Easy upgrade to bluetooth. Recognized instantly by Ubuntu 12.04.
Works great

Pros: Easy upgrade
Cons: None
Overall Review: Ordered 5 of these to upgrade 5 Dell 2400's at work. Popped them in and booted up. Works great. Should have done it sooner.
Great drive

Pros: Works in HP dv6629
Cons: None
Overall Review: Works great. Installed Windows Vista from recovery disks and then installed Ubuntu 12.04. So far, so good.
Brought an old Dell 2400 to life

Pros: Clean, quiet, works great.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Got an old Dell 2400 from work out of the dumpster. Replaced the hard drive with this one, installed Windows XP Home and used the license key on the sticker on the computer. Have $17.47 invested in this computer. I will donate it when someone needs it, and they will think they're getting something nice.
