does its job

VANTEC NST-266S3-BK 2.5-Inch SATA 6Gb/s to USB 3.0 HDD/SSD Aluminum Enclosure, Black
VANTEC NST-266S3-BK 2.5-Inch SATA 6Gb/s to USB 3.0 HDD/SSD Aluminum Enclosure, Black

Pros: I wont get into data speeds or anything but what I can say is that the enclosure securely holds my HDD and files transfer at a decent enough rate.

Cons: the cables/plugs feel loose and I am starting to think it might start causing intermittent connection issues soon.

Overall Review: So far so good.

WD BLACK 1TB WD1002FAEX

WD Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
WD Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Fast, does what it is supposed to.

Cons: THIS THING IS *REALLY LOUD*. I have a loud computer with 6 fans running and for whatever reason the liquid cpu cooler runs the fan at 100% ALL DAY, yet i still can clearly hear the sound of a percolating coffee maker resonating from the hard drive. Could be failing but i think i will wait and find out as it passes all tests with flying colors.

Overall Review: dont buy this if you cant live with the sound of a percolating coffee machine. I can here it across the room! I might exchange it for another.

BROKE

SONY DUALSHOCK 3 - Urban Camouflage
SONY DUALSHOCK 3 - Urban Camouflage

Pros: worked well while it lasted.

Cons: within 3 months the left analog stick died and started causing random button presses every time i touched it. Made games especially FPS games with running un-playable.

Control unit failing

Turtle Beach Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Ear Force Foxtrot Headset For PS4/PS3/Xbox360/PC/MAC
Turtle Beach Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Ear Force Foxtrot Headset For PS4/PS3/Xbox360/PC/MAC

Pros: Not audiophile quality but its good enough to here foot steps clearly and what not.

Cons: The control unit on the cord is failing. The wire connection from the headset to the control unit is intermittent and only works when I fiddle with it for a while, usually including me putting pressure on it with rubber bands. VERY ANNOYING to the point where I hardly use them. Started after about 3-5 months cant be certain when exactly it started.

Overall Review: Good quality headset if you treat it like your grandmas fine china.

Great for showers and more

FiGo Black 3.5mm Portable Speaker Photon
FiGo Black 3.5mm Portable Speaker Photon

Pros: Battery- After the first charge it lasted weeks. Doesnt last as long now but I can use it for a week or so still with no problem. Personally I use it for the shower, I am a college student living in the dorms and you can here it clearly of shower noise and the occasional annoying phone playing horrible rap music in the next shower over. Price- very cheap Loudness- people can clearly here it in the hallway while I am taking a shower with the door shut. When Im in a room with people I have to turn it down to here people speak so its definitely loud enough for a nice get together. Bass- the thing is like 2.5 inches tall, dont expect your walls to shake or anything but its definitely better than any phone. Expanding feature adds lots of bass

Cons: Sound quality- If your trying to jam out hard core in the dorms this is not your go to speaker, im not audiophile but you can notice sound degradation, however thats expected from a small unit. It sounds nice until you turn it up all the way.

Great for price

Netgear WNR3500L-100NAR Wireless-N Router RangeMax Opensource with USB
Netgear WNR3500L-100NAR Wireless-N Router RangeMax Opensource with USB

Pros: Very good router for the price. Lots of features, and for the most part does what it says. Signal isn't phenomenal but I am in a dorm room now and it works well even if im 2 rooms down after 3 rooms it drops in quality significantly,

Cons: The only con I have is that sometimes when making changes some of the changes would reset back to defaults randomly but I think it had to do with the nature of the fact that I was doing intricate things like mac cloning and it was a little buggy.

Overall Review: I have atleast 4 or 5 devices connected at a given time and haven't noticed any problems but with that said the work I am doing in my dorm isnt very demanding and the schools internet is slow to begin with.
