Solid OverClocking

OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2P800R22GK
OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2P800R22GK

Pros: Very stable ram for overclocking. Currently running at DDR1000 with times 4-4-4-15 @ 2.1v. Ram on memtest for 3 hours with no errors.

Cons: My only issue with this ram is that the timing set themselves to 5-5-5-15. This is odd considering this is slower then the standard.

Overall Review: Here is some helpful test results for overclockers. My setup includes motherboard P5N32-E 680i chipset with bios version 0903 and CPU Core 2 Duo 6600E SL9S8. I tested for 3 hours showing no errors with memtestx86 ver 3.3 for the following settings 5-5-5-15 @ 1.85v DDR800 / 4-4-4-12 @ 1.95v DDR800 / 4-4-4-12 @ 2.05v DDR900 / 4-4-4-15 @ 2.1v DDR1000. The board temp increased by 2°C from lower to top specs on stock cooling.

Great PS with a short life

OCZ EliteXStream OCZ800EXS 800W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply
OCZ EliteXStream OCZ800EXS 800W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This PS has plenty of long cables which works great for a mid to large case with ample hardware. Also is run quiet and has a nice look with the powder coat finish.

Cons: Appears to have a bad fuse or something. I have just sent in this PS for the second time. It lasted a few weeks on the first run and about 3 months on the second run.

Overall Review: I am not impressed with the reliability of this PS. My system load is not high enough to push its limits and both times it has died has been when it has not been in use and under load. This is the first OCZ product I have had that has not lived up to what I expect from the company.

Great Price for Uber Space

Western Digital WD Green WD10EADS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital WD Green WD10EADS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: I purchased 2 of these drives for my primary system to RAID together in a mirrored array. The access times are perfect for what this partition is used for being mass storage of media. Also the fact that they don't use much juice when not in use is great for those who want to keep their watts/hour down.

Cons: Would opt for a faster drive it using for primary partition.

Overall Review: It took awhile to format these drives but this will probably be true for anything pushing the TB range.

Solid

Pros: This PS is very stable and quiet. I replaced a faultly OCZ model with this one and could not be happier. Also the modular cable system makes life easier for keeping the case organized and airflow up.

Cons: When I first got this I heard a faint buzzing. It vanished by day 2 so I think this can be chalked up to part of the burn in process.

A good stick

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable) Model PEF8GUSB
Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable) Model PEF8GUSB

Pros: I use this stick for Vista ReadyBoost. The accessing time on this stick far outpreforms my old 2 GB Kingston stick. Also because Readyboost only uses half the space it is ideal for when I want to quickly copy over a few gigs for various reasons and not need to free up a USB slot to do it or hunt for one of my other sticks.

Cons: None so far.

Great bang for the buck

Pros: Fast response time and large capacity makes this a steal for under $20.

Cons: None so far.
