Phenom & M2N32-SLI Deluxe

AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition - Phenom X4 Quad-Core 2.5 GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Processor - HD985ZXAGHBOX
AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition - Phenom X4 Quad-Core 2.5 GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Processor - HD985ZXAGHBOX

Pros: to all having problems w/ASUS bios 1802 on m2n32-sli deluxe, let me just suggest setting the vcore DOWN. On my board a setting of 1.3 results in 1.4 in cpuz. I couldn't OC over 1.275 until I started setting the vcore down in the bios. This new cpu is rated by AMD for 1.2 to 1.3 volt. Extreme overvolts only adds heat.

Cons: At 1.185v in the bios, manual setting, I was able to get 214x14(2.9) to run stable. (cpuuz showed 1.29volt)

Overall Review: great CPU, realize that you need the proper motherboard, and motherboard settings to get the most out of this BE edition.

PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card AX4870 512MD5-PPH

Pros: 4870 good value, good GPU cooling

Cons: my first card burned out after about 2 months. Replacement lasted about 3 months. The ZeroTherm GPU cooler does an excellent job of cooling the GPU, but not the Voltage regulators. Either the air flow, or the heat sinks are inadequate. Either way, the card self destructs on a consistent basis.

Overall Review: FYI, I had no reason to overclock. My case is a coolmaster 830. room temp. is 65 F. My old 1900 GT fired up as a replacement. Conclusion, there is no reason this card should fail other than its defective design. I have asked Power Color to send an alternate model in replacement. I will let you know their response.

response 4x

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 220-P2-1000-XR 80+ PLATINUM 1000W Fully Modular EVGA ECO Mode Includes FREE Power On Self Tester Power Supply

Pros: Titian is a 250 watt card. So you obviously need more than a 1000 watt for 4x cards and the rest of your system.

Cons: Excellent PSU, but not up for 4x titians Reviews are not to be used as forums...newegg might not allow my response. Good luck

Pros: Bought 32GB when on Black Friday Sale. Z CPU-Z shows it running at 800 CAS 10 as advertized. SPD JEDEC #6 recognized without any additional settings in BIOS. no errors, no complaints.

Cons: none

Overall Review: running Dataram ramdisk, will run VM on WIN 7 64. a few months ago this was a grand upgrade from Lenovo direct. still half that today...for around 100 you can do it yourself ...no question. G-Skill rocks

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9Q-32GXH
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9Q-32GXH

Pros: Tommy, you need to upgrade to the Pro version. Home version only allows 16GB

Cons: you need 64 bit operating system to use more than 4GB. However, the Non-pro versions of windows have artificial limits not required by the "bitness" of the OS

Overall Review: You should be able to do an online upgrade of your OS to the PRO version of 7 or 8 and you will see your other 16GB of memory.

Corsair Force Series GT 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F120GBGT-BK

Pros: fast

Cons: need to respond to the manufacture's response to my previous review: I was locked out. I was able to view the forums in anonymous mode, but as soon as I logged into the forum, I was frozen out. I verified this on 3 different computers over the course of 2 days. Obviously, my IP address had been black listed. So...while the ban was lifted, and may never have been official. It certainly was not a mistake.

Overall Review: Sorry, while it is great that you have made updates in your firmware, I cannot allow you to tell untruths. Black listing my IP was not only childish, but an extreme form of non customer service.
