High GPU Temperature? (2)

Pros: A follow-up on my "High GPU Temperature?" review.
Cons: GPU running hot (63C at idle, 79C at moderate load)
Overall Review: Did some further testing, the GPU GeForce8200 under the gold colored heatsink (with text "Black") is extremely hot at medium load - it reached 79 degree C! With this kind of temp, I was afraid to try some more demanding graphics tasks. It did not freeze up yet, but I think it probably will and if anything, the mobo will probably fail prematurely in terms of months or weeks, running at that kind of temp. I've emailed ECS support about the problem (case id: 09071110009), I hope what I got was a defective mobo and a replacement will fix the problem. Otherwise, if it's a mobo design problem, I don't know what the remedy would be. I'll see how it works out and report it here, stay tuned...
worst dvd media ever

Comments: This the worst dvd-r I've ever purchased. 20 out of 100 dvd-r discs have problems easily identifiable by looking at the back of the disc. Well, of the 20 bad discs, 3-4 have some bad scratches. The rest are even worse - there is seperation between the two layers of DVD disc. The bottom protective layer can easily be separated from the top layer. These discs are useless. Worst of all, I was trying to get an RMA to return/replace it but newegg.com does not allow return/exchange of CD/DVD/RW media. Bummer!
High GPU Temperature?

Pros: Nice board. Just put together a system with ECA GF8200A + Athlon 7850 + 4GB DDR2 800 RAM + Cosair 400CX PSU - as usual, got everything from NewEgg and they shipped fast. Everything went smoothly except one thing - see Cons for detail...
Cons: GPU temperature as reported by HWMonitor is 63C at idle! Is the mobo defective? The gold colored heat sink on the mobo is hot to touch when idling...I'm not expecting something this hot.
Overall Review: Anyone else has this problem? Is the board defective? Here's system I put together - Motherboard - ECS GF8200A CPU - AMD Athlon X2 7850 2.8 GHz Dure Core RAM - OCZ DDR2 PC6400 2x2GB Dual Channel Kit PSU - Corsair 400CX 400W 80Plus HDD - Hitachi Deskstar 500GB 7200RPM Sata Case - My 10-year-old INWIN Q500 Full ATX Tower
fast & quiet

Pros: The Hitachi drive is fast and quiet - no complaints.
Cons: Hitachi is less known as a HDD manufacturer
Overall Review: Struggled to install XP into this drive - nothing related to the drive itself. XP does not come with SATA/AHCI drivers and it only accepts drivers in floppy via F6 key during install. Floppy?! Finally got it working by integrating the AHCI driver into XP using nLite.
well built

Pros: Great build quality - nice and solid look. Very quiet - thanks to the 120mm fan and the 80PLUS efficiency. Great power potential - it's rated at 400W but one of the reviews (AnandTech.com) mentioned that it was tested to deliver 450W+ easily. It should be able to handle any tasks unless you're building a big game machine with more than one power-hungry graphics cards. Long cables - even for my old full tower (INWIN Q500)
Cons: No cable management. Since the cables are really long, even for my full tower ATX case, you really need to consider where to stuck away the cables. But at this price point, especially with the rebate, it cannot be expected.
Overall Review: BTW, as other reviewers already mentioned, the 8-pin ATX12V CPU connector is actually 4+4, so it will work with both 8-pin and 4-pin motherboards.
patriot memory

Pros: works perfectly in my lenovo laptop inexpensive
Cons: no complaints
Overall Review: as usual - fast shipping by newegg
