Easy Install and Quite Fan
Pros: Nicely packaged and with better instructions than most computer products. The drivers installed without a hitch. This is usually the biggest problem with most graphics cards. The fan was also quieter than expected. Time will tell if it will remain that way.
Cons: I don't know why they put a hole for an S-Video connection in the VGA D-Sub low profile plate which is not needed, but this is of little consequence, certainly not worth a reduction in the egg rating.
Overall Review: This card was purchased for installation into my Dad's Dell Dimension C521 desktop PC. The low profile capability and low power consumption features of this card made it a good choice for this PC. While there is a power connector for a high power graphics card, I doubt this PC's power supply could handle the added current draw. It's hard to go wrong with 1 GB of video RAM and take the load off of the system's CPU and RAM. A must if you want to run Windows Vista or Windows 7 with the of its resource hogs.
It's a wart and it works well
Pros: In use for over six months straight without issue - no reboots. Simple setup, reliable connections, and speed. It may be a wall wart, but it works very well. We needed to extend our 2.4GHz band to the upstairs of the house. The primary connections are with our smart phones. But even when connecting our laptops, the speed is more than reasonable for web browsing and basic computing needs.
Cons: None, really
Works Well
Pros: Nice combination, and at a fair price. Nice solution for my situation. Was able to use both a USB mouse AND keyboard by plugging both into the console USB hub connection.
Cons: KVM hot keys don't work at all. This may be because I have the Dell multimedia USB keyboard plugged into the console USB hub. I have not tested the theory using a standard PS2 keyboard. But, this is where the included port selector button comes in handy. Still a 5 star product. I can't discount the rating for using an undocumented configuration.
Overall Review: My biggest concern was that I would have to use my standard D sub analog connection to my flat panel display. Prior to the KVM my laptop used the DVI connection. I thought there would be a noticeable degradation in video quality. If there is, I can't tell.
New life for old laptop
Pros: Used this memory in my sisters old HP dv4170us laptop. This along with a new 250 WD PATA HD put some spunk back into this otherwise sluggish system. The memory alone made a huge difference in the OS load time. The new HD was just icing on the cake.
Cons: none, except than when you wait too long the cost of older memory types starts to creep back up. Should have upgraded her system sooner.
It's a cable
Pros: It's a SATA cable. What more is there to say. The locking clip on the drive end works just fine with SATA 3.0 HDs. You can feel it catch and a slight tug ensures that it won't fall off. The clip can be removed easily if you are connecting it to a SATA 1.5 device.
Cons: none really.
Overall Review: Without the clip it secured just fine to my older SATA 1.5 80GB Seagate HD. If you can't wait 2-3 days and save yourself some money you can always pay 3x as much at the local BB.
Fantastic
Pros: Write and read speeds are better than expected for a high capacity thumb drive. At the time (before Christmas), the price could not be beat when considering the 10 rebate. (still waiting for the rebate). This drive is smaller than the 8GB drive I have been using for the past 6 months. I purchased it for my daughter so she could backup her important papers, research, music, and pictures from her laptop while at college. Amazing what you learn from a laptop meltdown...
Cons: None at this point.
Great deal
This HP Z600 2x Xeon CPU (8 cores) with 2 GB HD and 24 GB of ECC RAM was well worth the asking price. After shopping around this configuration for the price was hard to beat. The order was delivered on time and in great shape. The workstation even had the original protective plastic over the exterior panels. There was not a spec of dust anywhere.
