Fast, smooth and solid build w/4G T-mobile
Pros: This is my first Chromebook. I wanted a fast processor (Intel Celeron Haswell) and 16GB SSD drive. I like the instant on feature when the lid is opened. Plus the ability to use 4G internet everywhere with T-Mobile. The SIM was already inserted into the SIM slot and no need to register. Supposedly free internet for 24 months up to 200 MB/month. Battery life is excellent. Easily 7 hours per charge. It may go 9.5 hours on minimal settings. I chose HP 14' because of the screen size and keyboard layout. The screen is TN and NOT IPS. I can see in direct sunlight. The HP keyboard is easy to type evenly spaced and key travel. The mouse is excellent. Pinch and zoom only works on G-MAP. Two fingers for up/down scroll or side-side scroll works great. Adding a wireless mouse works great.
Cons: I don't miss Windows OS. However, my company proprietary Windows 7 App doesn't work on this Chromebook. Skype does NOT work on Chromebook.
Overall Review: I'm really enjoying the accuracy of the keyboard and speed of the browser in HP Chromebook. Opening multiple apps and playing ESPN videos, Youtube videos, Techzilla videos simultaneously is really cool and smooth. I still have to check out all of the extensions. Trying to find an extension for spell checker.
The Best headset I ever owned
Pros: First of all, I've owned 20 bluetooth headsets the last 8 years. Most of them are junk. This is the best for loudness, clarity, functionality. You can turn off the bluetooth with a button on top. Good news, no echo, no snap, crackle, pop noise on my side. The caller on the other say I don't sound like I'm on bluetooth.
Cons: Non. Perfect size and weight.
Overall Review: I have a Blackberry 9700 Bold. It works wonderful with the Jabra BT8010. With Blackberry, you can click off the bluetooth feature or turn on speakerphone while connected to bluetooth. Quick way to disconnect from bluetooth.
Up and Running in 5 minutes
Pros: Installed the card to my HP A1600N. Took literally less than 5 minutes to install. Popped in the video card, booted up the computer and Windows asked for driver disk. Loaded the CD drivers and it worked fine. Played World in Conflict, Hitman & Prey in Hi Res mode. Very smooth.
Cons: The game that came in the box (Neverwinter Nights II) did not include the S/N. Couldn't play it....oh well?
Overall Review: My HP A1600N has only 300 Watt Power Supply. No problem with this video card. No need to get expensive card and upgrade power supply.
