Pros: This was the best purchase for my lazy self, I like video games and I like to exercise but I like video games more. Now my video games give me exercise. I'm addicted to this VR headset, I have a 7-month-old and a 3-year-old, I literally wait till 11 pm -midnight every night just to have the free time and space to get my boxing matches in, or shoot some NPC to the rhythm of music, or slash some blocks, or blah blah blah. You get it, I'm having fun.
Cons: 1. It didn't come out sooner.
2. Tied to Facebook which you can circumvent for now but for how long.
3. Tied to Facebook account, needs to be said twice. They are Evil Corp.
Overall Review: I like this device but I wish it wasn't tied to Facebook. I don't have an account, I tried making one, and wouldn't let me even after review and ID and days of waiting, if it wasn't for the Occulus account I would not be able to use it. Huge Disclaimer to all.
Pros: 1. Small simple carry size
2. Fingerprint sign in (I like cause I commute a lot)
3. Micro USB charging like my phone
4. HDMI output (note you need an adapter to use a standard HDMI cable)
5. I like that its a 64bit Windows 10 vs 32bit of T100TA I owned before because it gives me access to modern apps that don't support x86.
6. The battery life is great
7. It will run AutoCAD 2018 x64, I used it in the field during work to open a dropbox file and adjust a drawing in realtime on site.
Cons: None so far only my first day of use I will add as I find things
It runs most efficiently when tablet mode is selected in settings of Windows 10 because it tends to manage background applications better in my opinion.
Overall Review: First of all, I received mine today and it started right away, no tricks or gimmicks, and it had about half the battery charged. This review is based on first-day impressions and about 3 hours of setup and use. I owned an older model Asus T100TA and it only had a 32gb hard drive, I learned so many tricks on saving space on hard drive while using it. This device has so much space available in comparison and it allows me to avoid using mklink command as much to use the SD Card as part of C drive. I installed Office 2016 and opened all the apps, the on-screen keyboard is pretty snappy. I am able to run some simple games on this PC and most importantly I can tether it to my phone and use it mobile for AutoCAD 2018 because I'm a draftsman. The pen is really cool but it's no mouse replacement though. Updated 04.18.2018
Pros: 1. Looks great
2. Small Form Factor
3. Auto switch feature
4. Button on device
5. Remote Control
Cons: 1. Range of remote control is short and finicky
Overall Review: For a refurbished item this is absolutely what I needed at the best price possible, while not looking cheap.
Pros: 1. Quick Prep
2. Quick Cleanup
3. Easy Setup
Cons: None that I can see when looking at it as a one person at a time breakfast tool, not really a time saver when serving 2, but they make a different model for multiple sandwiches
Overall Review: I wake up at 8:45 and need to be at work by 9:30, I'm not a morning person, and never ate breakfast cause I was always running late. This thing has a nice sandwich ready for me by the time I'm out door with minor stops and minimal minding over the cooking process. Love it
Pros: This is a really powerful little gaming console plus. I love the android Real Boxing game it looks and feels amazing. But Emulators are were this thing takes off, I've been playing my favorite NES, SNES, Genesis, and PS1 games again (I recommend Robert Broglia emulators they have full Shield support). Beyond this, the beta Nvidia Grid app is cool with the cloud gaming, and I've only streamed Skyrim so far from my PC but it was flawless with a little patience of setup, I'm sure it will get easier to connect with more development . I tend to buy gadgets early and I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite buys in awhile. My girlfriend was impressed that I got her Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog and the controls were perfect, we sat in bed watching TV taking turns getting our gaming on. I can really see the potential in this product.
Cons: If you're not patient or tech savvy, the PC game streaming can be a little nerve racking to get streaming perfectly. There are some features in beta still but they are functioning.
Overall Review: I'm a gamer, and I love sitting on the couch watching the tube, I've inter-weaved those two things in simultaneous harmony with the Shield. I love this thing
Pros: My boss needed this to unlock his old Staad Engineering program. It worked out of the box, windows 7 recognized it right away for him and he was up and running in 15mins.
Pros: 1. I am able to stream movies from anywhere using wd2go.com
2. I am able to copy files to and from my NAS anywhere I go
3. I can share with my friends, give access to what I want people to see, hide what's personal
4. The Interface is very easy to use and setup, stick the CD in, READ, Follow instructions, and bam it's setup and running.
Cons: Moving files over the network can take awhile especially if you already have enough files to fill most of the device's capacity, wish there was a way to connect USB 2.0 for quicker file transferring. But with patience it all gets there and it works great no loss of egg cause of this detail
Overall Review: Add USB access to Hardrive or at least external access to the sata connector
Regardless I'm extremely happy with this product it is very useful for me
Pros: Buying a 2nd one for my sisters laptop
Looks nice and sits on lap comfortably
Cons: If you grab it from one side when computer is on it and fans are running, fan blades may rub from weight and plastic case touching edges of fan.
Pros: Great for fixing peoples computers or transferring information from failing computers
Cons: Could have been cheaper
Overall Review: none
Pros: Works and fits right after I went to jeweler and had band adjusted to my small wrists
Overall Review: None
Pros: This is a great product and extremely awesome revamp of the wired version of the thumb trackball. The two extra buttons are exactly what I wanted.
Overall Review: I have tendinitis in my wrist and trackball mice are my saviors when I'm in pain
Pros: Looks as described, shipped safely and arrived timely.
Cons: None this was a present for someone and I didn't get to tinker with it, but I also haven't heard any complaints
Overall Review: Newegg rocks!! Slowly this website is become the sole place were I review and compare products, check out prices because they're competitive, and basically buy most of my PC, gadgets, electronics, games, and now watches. By teaming up with these smaller companies, not only is Newegg providing customers more options but they are providing more jobs(as is for everything of that nature) for people, I love when good ideas become fruitful.
Pros: It runs very cool for me, it runs maxed settings on everything I throw at it, its Directx 11 ready, no installation problems both hardware and software, and as always newegg shipped it fast
Cons: None so far based on my needs, the only test it needs to pass now is the test of time
Pros: Quiet, adjustable manually, looks like a Tower straight out of SimCity or something(my friends always comment on it when they see it's blue glow)
Overall Review: I've never bought an aftermarket cooler before and I am thourghly happy with this one
Pros: It works amazing...Quite Solid plastic in my opinion(Based especially on the fact that I have to wedge it in my old Antec, my fault not controller)...Nothing like analog in my opinion
Although I see it is a con also, It only needs to be plugged into one power source
Cons: I kinda wish it would allow the option for each individual fan access to its typical fan power plug spot on mobo, so the motherboard could still potentially read the different fan speeds, but really not a huge deal just me being techy.
Overall Review: It allows me to quiet computer down at night when I'm watching TV or Netflix thru Windows media center
Pros: Comes in decent packaging, Construction of it is nice, I have a small head but used it for over 5 hours straight and it didn't hurt my ears. I also was able to use EAX sound on my MMO (LOTRO) which I never used before and adds cool echoes and stuff. Overall I'm very happy with the sound and feel.
Cons: Blue lights on controller are so bright they literally hurt your eyes, I electric taped mine so it wouldn't shine in my eye. Controller does get a little hot and I think its mainly cause of the intensity of the LED's they chose.
Overall Review: I like this headset, good price, good quality, and Newegg pretty much shipped it in a day.
Pros: It connects to almost anything bluetooth with no problem. I use it with my laptop for playing MMOs and ventrilo. I use it with my Bluetooth receiver and connect it to anything with a 3.5mm audio input.
Pros: I am following up on my original review. It is now a week later and I've discovered some pretty cool things this device can do.
First thing, I wanted to try was to connect it to the S-video on my computer at work and use it as a second little monitor to watch my movies on(netflix, media player, even pandora). On my Radeon card at work it worked great, using a S-video to RCA adapter, detected as TV and quality was as expected. I was very happy this, is convenient for me since I work as a CAD draftsman and like to have as much monitor as I can.
SD cards work great, when battery is fully charged, no lag or anything. I've been using xvid .avi files formated at 368x208 24FPS 512Bit rate, there are plenty of applications on net to do this.
I also use a micro SD USB adapter, which I bought thru newegg.com at an affordable price. It works great, no lag on video and great picture.
Music and Pictures play great on all media types whether USB or SD.
Cons: I nt and tested the iView on my laptop, which has an NVIDIA card, it did not detect it as TV or anything. I went and had my laptop detect an other TV in the house, then once I applied all my multi-monitor settings in NVIDIA control panel, I removed the connectors and attached the iView, it worked. I feel this was a short coming of my NVIDIA card and not the iView based on all the NVIDIA forums I went to research on. I am going to try a vga to s-video adapter(about $5-10 bucks) see if that helps.
Found that USB is still laggy with videos and I think its because they need power to run, so device struggles kinda a parasitic effect. Still playing with USB drives to see if its just a size of drive issue as FAQ on RJ Techs site states.
Overall Review: I really like this purchase. For the price, I think this little TV is awesome. Has lots of potential and plenty of features that make it ultra portable. The fact that you can plug it to a cigarette lighter makes it easy to charge on the go. RC aficionados prolly have a way to charge the Li Po battery super quick also.
Pros: It turns on, picture quality is pretty good, comes with a nice case, its rechargeable, and has a coaxial connector.
Comes with AC adapter and DC car adapter.
Cons: USB so far is laggy on videos and it has to be formated as a FAT32 to work (Windows 7 likes NTFS so you have to make sure to switch to it).
SD card worked but also very sluggish on Videos
Gets kinda hot
From reading manuals the battery lasts only 2.5 hours
Provided Antenna is kinda lacking in the signal capturing department, prolly need something better if you really wanna watch tv.
Overall Review: This is my first assesment of the product based on day one of tinkering, I will write another review in a week or more as I toy with it some more. I give it four stars cause so far its working as advertised, I'm just not happy with lag off of USB and SD when watching movies, but its still too early to tell. I might have formatted the movie files wrong or something. Just felt this product needed some reviewing.
Pros: Worked from the box for me, didn't need drivers or anything really, Windows 7 picked them all up automatically. Plenty of options to play with and plenty of slots. I have an avermedia PCI-X card, EVGA PCI-X GTX260, 2 hard drives, and some extra USBs(not tha they where needed).
Cons: None as of yet
Pros: Immediate difference from my Nvidia GT8500...Handles AutoCAD, LOTRO on Ultra High, Batman Arkham Assylum, & more. I usually have it set to dualview with media center and browser on one screen and game/app on main. Never had A problem
Cons: None so far, maybe to big to actually fit in your micro ATX case, and watch those pesky heatsinks on your mobo cause this card takes up two slots and if the heatsink is too close to pcie your in for some fun.
Overall Review: I love this card and EVGA is a good company
Pros: It's big enough to handle what I need from it, no problems with install, shipped quick, and in the last 2 months of ownership not one hiccup
Cons: It wasn't free
Pros: It connects a standard PS/2 keyboard or mouse with no problems
Cons: Doesn't work at boot up but I knew that when I bought it, but once loaded use of extra keys like voulume control or media keys still don't work on keyboard, and Logitech setpoint don't recognize the mouse being plugged in...but all standard functions work both keyboard and mouse.
Overall Review: It works just not what I expected but serves my purpose for my KVM switch
Pros: It works fine...
Cons: Apparently, they lost my UPC bar code in the rebate process so now I have an Athena box with no UPC and no rebate cause some moron can't open an envelope properly. You don't mess with peoples money like that, I bought this product because it was so cheap with rebate at time, now I'm bitter and will never purchase anything from Athena again.
Overall Review: A company is only as good as the employees running it
Pros: Shipped incredibally fast and nothing is broken
