Great TV/Monitor and great price

Atyme 43-inch 4K LED TV
Atyme 43-inch 4K LED TV

Pros: Picture is very good, no dead pixels, setup was simple. Good looking thin bezel, speakers OK. I'm using as a computer monitor, and it's just perfect (almost too big). Maybe not fast enough for gaming, but that's not what I do.

Cons: You MUST install a firmware update, or detail and fonts will look HORRIBLE! Above, I said the picture is very good, but that's AFTER the firmware update. You need a computer, internet and a thumb drive to do the update, and it's pretty easy.

Overall Review: To update, go to atyme.net and download for your serial number series. Their instructions say to plug the thumb drive into the TV's USB connection and "reboot the TV". That means unplug the power cord, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Turning it off and on won't work. Then, in the menu setup, turn the "Sharpness" all the way down to 0. I would certainly buy again at this price.

Beautiful computer monitor!

Samsung 40" 4K LED-LCD HDTV
Samsung 40" 4K LED-LCD HDTV

Pros: Perfect, razor sharp image, just the right size. Any bigger would be too big as a monitor. Factory refurbished, and NOTHING wrong. No dead pixels or off-color areas. It's a 3D (don't really care about that). Remote has a very cool on-screen pointer that really helps with setup. I write software and use tiny fonts in Visual Studio. This display is INCREDIBLY sharp as a monitor!!! Best money I ever spent.

Cons: I've been using it for 2 weeks with fine results. No complaints whatsoever. I thought I would want a tilt/swivel base of some kind, but I don't miss it.

Overall Review: Don't try to use without a high-res graphics card. If your laptop doesn't do super high-res, you will be disappointed. Factory settings were very good in my opinion. Sharpness was set to 50%, which seems perfect. It's plenty bright with excellent black and color. I don't play games or do artwork that requires fast or precise color rendering, so I can't say how the screen performs for that. It is 3D, which my associates think is very cool. If computer video signal goes off (hibernate or sleep), the monitor shuts off and won't wake up without the remote. You can set Windows screen blanking to 'blank' and that should save the screen from image burn and also allow it to wake up with a mouse move. I love this monitor!
