An absolute beast!

EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: -Ran great right out of the box with no OCing, plugged it in and started rocking. -This thing will handle any current game with max settings/res at more-than-playable FPS. Crysis, Metro2033, Witcher 2, SC2, 25-man heroic mode WoW raids...just booted up the brand-new Deus Ex Human Revolution with this puppy at max settings with DX11 and pulling 60+ FPS. Stunning performance. -EVGA Precision is one of the best GPU monitor/OC programs ever made. -Surprisingly quiet even at high RPMs. Can SLI this puppy, gonna buy another when it comes down in price.

Cons: -Card is heavy and big, had some minor difficulty fitting it into an ASUS P8Z68-V PRO PCI-E slot but it fit eventually. -Runs a bit hot, 70C under normal load but I'm told that's normal. Be sure and run a good case airflow, or attach a waterblock to it. -This isn't for gamers on the dole, the price is pretty high but definitely worth it.

Overall Review: If you absolutely, positively have to have THE best single-GPU solution on the market....accept no substitutes. This thing is solidly crafted and ready for the next generation of games (BF3, RAGE, Skyrim). If you're serious about gaming this is as close as you'll come to future-proofing your PC for the foreseeable future. If you have the cash, buy it. When you get more cash, buy two. It's THAT good.

Most Critical Review

Good keyboard, but try before you buy.

RAZER Black Wired BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
RAZER Black Wired BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Pros: -Old school mechanical feel -Excellent tactile feedback -Extremely sturdy construction. This thing is heavy! -It probably won't break down due to wear quite as fast as my other keyboards -Macro buttons and a cool blue-light inset

Cons: -Keys are very close together and arranged differently due to the macro buttons. -The Shift, CapsLock and Tab keys are very small compared to most keyboards. -It's easy to mistype until you get used to the configuration. -No included software disc. You really have to go to the Net to get full functionality which makes this troublesome for new PC installs. -On occasion, keys will get "stuck". Not physically stuck, but certain applications don't register them properly, often my Ventrilo will think I am still holding down the mic button. -Very, VERY loud. While this is a plus for most gamers, my fiancee hates it. Seriously, thing sounds like a typewriter.

Overall Review: It's a very sturdy keyboard and a quality product, but as the title says, make sure you try it out before you plunk down the cash for one. I like using it, but I end up pulling out my old membrane keyboard when the lady friend goes to bed or is watching a movie.

Speedy and excellent.

Intel 510 Series (Elm Crest) 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSC2MH120A2K5
Intel 510 Series (Elm Crest) 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSC2MH120A2K5

Pros: -Fast, fast, fast, goes as fast as advertised on SATA3 6Gbps connection. -Have had for 2 months and no problems yet. -Windows boots in under a minute. WEI of 7.8. -I can be parked in the middle of Stormwind Trade District, log in at 8PM on a Friday night on a high-population server, and be checking my in-game mail within 10 seconds from World of Warcraft application startup. If you're a WoW player, I probably just sold you the drive right there.

Cons: -The bracket seems kind of cheap, but it works. -It's a bit pricey. -Space is an issue, but it's an SSD. -I don't have enough money to buy 20 more.

Overall Review: After reading the myriad horror stories about the OCZ drives, I went with this baby, backed by Intel's decades of experience and solidarity. So far, I am not disappointed. This thing is so fast it makes light-speed-breaking neutrinos seem like a non-factor. Anything I install on it is up and running in seconds. I also wasn't prepared for the huge noise dropoff from using a HDD. It's the ninja of storage drives; silent and efficient.

Great board, but don't trust the auto-OC!

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: -Tons (and I mean TONS) of USB/SATA ports -Mobo is fairly roomy, except near the PCIe slot (more on this in Cons) -On-board Power/Reset for troubleshooting are awesome -Excellent UEFI BIOS with tons of features -Great power-saving features, a must in this economy -Comes with tons of extra cabling, quite a bargain -The included AI Suite is excellent and informative

Cons: -Trying to use the Auto OC on an i5-2500k resulted in a ridiculously under-volted OC (1.14v versus 1.2-1.25v proper @ 4.3Ghz) -The BIOS will hate your face if you don't plug your HDD into the Marvell port -Some of the ports are too close to the PCIe slot. This means space-hogging GPUs like GTX580 etc will need to be the last thing you plug into the board. Annoying but not fatal.

Overall Review: Pretty much nothing else to add...the board works, and it works extremely well. You'll have to work hard to run this puppy out of ports, and the board is fast, clean and easy to get powered up. The onboard power-reset switches are a godsend for troubleshooting a new build; my system's case power button didn't work and I hadn't plugged the connector in all the way. However, caveat emptor when using the Auto OC. As mentioned above, it selected far too low of a voltage for the speed it OC'd my chip to, leading to random crashes until I Google'd the proper settings. The Auto setting is also extremely conservative; you'll be able to get another .5 Ghz or more out of a well-cooled CPU than what it suggests your "max" is. Otherwise, fantastic board as long as you can find a OC guide to follow. The XMP memory timings work perfectly, the board does a great job on energy savings (my power bill hasn't seen a huge hit at all). Very solid board, I just ordered another one for my fiancee's bui

Somewhat disappointing...

RAZER Ferox 2 x 3W 2.0 Speakers
RAZER Ferox 2 x 3W 2.0 Speakers

Pros: -Extremely small and portable -Charges fast with the USB plugin -Well-constructed -Slightly better than laptop speakers -Blue LED rims look awesome in the dark

Cons: -Cables are not NEARLY long enough -There's about a half-foot of separation between left and right speakers, so difficult to achieve true stereo sound -Random annoying buzzing and static when charging -Sound quality is poor for the price, no bass whatsoever and poor high-end range

Overall Review: These are alright if you're looking for portable plug-in speakers for a laptop. However, the sound quality leaves MUCH to be desired, and the cable length and lack of separation are frustrating to deal with if you're trying to plug these into a tower on your floor. THis product seems to be lacking the general professionalism that is present in other Razer products. I can't recommend them.

Workhorse of a drive.

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: -Cheap, excellent GB to $ ratio in play here. -Slides right into any drive slot with little trouble. -Surprisingly fast for a 7200RPM, runs at good speeds with a SATA2 cable. -Defrags quick and fast. Easily RAID-able. -Did I mention it's cheap?

Cons: -Packaging is about as bare-bones as it can get. No documentation, no cables, just some screws. But you get the savings. -Didn't come with a SATA cable. Which is fine, because I had plenty from my mobo package. -Takes a second or two to come up from sleep mode, which happens often because my OS and most used apps run on my SSD.

Overall Review: Samsung has a quality product at a crazy awesome price point here. Definitely a good buy, I'll probably buy another when I run out of space because it's stupid cheap and far faster than an external. Hell, I may just buy one and throw it into an enclosure. Highly recommended.
