It doesn't have custom settings. It has pick a solid color or strobe a rainbow of colors that can be slowed down to a slow pulse. Or white used as a strobe effect that can be slowed to a pulse as well. The only other setting is brightness. Hope this helps. Cheers!

They are 3m adhesive, mine have been in my case for over a year and still are stuck good

Yes. There are decent length cords and one longer extension included, and a single controller unit so it all works together. The frequency on the remote will affect multiple units if you have them. I was building my PC with this kit, and one for a friend, and when they were both on the remote would affect both kits from a few feet away.

You just cut the connection between the lEDs (small space). You don't have to since the strips are flexible and can use adhesive around edges.

The ones I bought were 3m adhesive, which works really, really well in terms of sticking to the case and staying on. Had it on for almost a year, with zero problems. Residue was left behind when I decided to remove them though, unfortunately.

Is there any way to select  a whitish/creamish color?

Sorry I took so long to reply, but the answer is kind of. It is more of a yellowish, creamish.  What i think you are looking for will not be on the controller. But personally i think it is a great rgb controller, lots of settings and easy to use and set up. took me about 10 min to install, manage the wires, and figure out the settings.

Do they get hot?

No, these do not get hot, I have had them for a while and if you touch them, it feels like touching a room temperature water bottle (which is not hot) and they do not affect your thermals (your temperatures)
