can you use camera without internet?

I have no idea...I have been trying to connect it to the internet for two weeks with their customer service helping and nothing yet.  It will not work any other way yet for me and I'm getting very frustrated.

can i use more than one cell phone to check on one camera?

Not simultaneously, but you can install the app on multiple devices. If you are logged in on phone #1 and then log in on phone #2 they might be connected for a bit but eventually phone #1 will disconnect, especially if you perform a function like trying to turn on the sound. I tried connecting two Android tablets at the same time and a message flashed with something about being careful because more than one device is trying to connect. I also got an email about suspicious activity. I think it lets the latest device in and disconnects any that were already connected. There's a little lag though where they both seem to be connected. There is a "share" function but I think that just means for someone with a different Defender account. I don't think you could both be in at the same time.

Does it record continuously or motion only?

It records continuously but shows you where there was motion if you want to just save that clip. I comes with a 16GB chip that lasts about 2 days then the oldest footage gets overwritten. You can also schedule when you want it to record or not record.

Can this be used without internet
?

It is designed to be used on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. The apps you normally download for that create an account by which you get your notifications/alarms. If you want to use it without the default settings, you have to know a lot about video settings/standards and have to plug in lots of info in those 3rd party programs that may not support exactly this model.
