Is this a "web managed" switch, or does it also have a console port?

Web managed only. No console port. But we had no problem configuring a whole bunch of them quickly through that web portal.

1) Is it IEEE 802.3ad capable;

2) how many gigabit ports does this switch have?

C S, not sure if you purchased but the 2800 series is not 802.3ad LACP compliant, it only provides MAC based static LAG's see my post here(change commas for periods, >'s for /'s): en,community,dell,com>support-forums>network-switches>f>866>t>19541840.aspx on the dell community forums where they answered that it is not a fully L3 IP hash based LAG.

I purchased and am now having to try to return so I can get the Cisco SG300-10
